    Please explain this.

So you mean that really, ultimately, we rely upon our own efforts supposedly to remain saved? I cannot believe that. It has to be all of grace, or not at all.
  2. F

    Please explain this.

Those who do not continue in the faith were never in it. We don't rely on us 'keeping it up', but it's God's grace working in us He is "able to save" (Hebrews 7.25). He is "able to keep" (Jude 24).
  3. F

    Please explain this.

John's First Epistle speaks of the mighty assurance available to the true believer.
  4. F

    Please explain this.

Jude declares that despite abounding apostasy He is able to keep (Jude 24).

Thanks to all who voted so far in the poll! If you have not yet voted in the poll, please vote now! :)
  6. F

    Please explain this.

If they fall and are lost, they were never believers in the first place, Biblically speaking.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

@"ByGrace" A while ago you said: Well, it's what young ladies do now. Some would say that rather than fighting against the idea, better just to embrace it.

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

I do not see your extrapolation as logical. Where the Father and the Son send the Holy Spirit (in John's Gospel), they are not sending themselves but Another Person. Where the Son goes to the Father, He is not going to Himself, but to the Father, Another Person.
  9. F

    Please explain this.

John's First Epistle has very strong content about assurance of faith. Romans 8.38-39 is hard to argue against.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Young ppl really should be advised to use a tattoo parlor, and be aware of the consequences of not going to the parlor to do it.

    Background Information About James

Ephesians 2.9 does not contradict James; what James is saying is that if there is no evidence of faith, it's dead.

    Greetings To Timothy

I do love the King James.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

In those days it was nearly always men who got tattoos. Now in North America even more women than men get them (often in family and faith themes). I do think there is a lot of potential for faith based designs and for tattoo artist careers for Christian young men and women today.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

...except maybe when it comes to tattoos... (I do think faith based / Bible verse tattoos have a lot of potential.)

    Greetings To Timothy

Great verses; I think they come over particularly well in the King James.

    Please explain this.

@"ByGrace" and @Lady Crosstalk : Thanks for the 'likes'.

    Greetings To Timothy

Indeed; and so many young preachers have benefited from the Scripture record of this Paul - Timothy relationship.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

To some extent it's about what you have been accustomed to in the past; whereas your daughters whose ink you said you admire will have always been accustomed to women being tattooed widely and confidently. (Does this make any sense?)

Can one be saved while they are all alone?

In terms of Hebrews 11, the recurring phrase is indeed 'by faith'...'by faith', that deliverance came.
  20. F

    Please explain this.

The grace of God in the Gospel is a most wondrous topic. One can see how the ascription of praise at the end of Ephesians 3 is stimulated by Paul's sense of deep appreciation and wonder at the grace of God in Christ.
