He was scared. The underlying question is really about the role of faith in assurance and confidence.

I guess as with many things, a closer consideration from a variety of angles can lead to a broader and more nuanced understanding of a subject, not least, faith based ink.

It's good sometimes to stop and consider whether passages of Scripture really refer to Israel or the church; and thus one's conclusions about the roles of each might be brought into sharper focus with regard to future events. So often, in discussion, the church and Israel are just lumped...

I do think than if Christians simply continued steadfastly in the activities of Acts 2.42 that the early Christians continued steadfastly in, there wouldn't be the sense of obsession about organizations and structures and schemes of supposed unity.

You can see how some Christians feel a similar thing, with a bit of ink invasiveness also, can, for them if they want it, prove to be a lasting and effective conversation tool.

The point is indeed spiritual unity which the Holy Spirit has already forged among us, rather than organizational unity.

Thanks; actually, the word is 'meetness', from 'meet' or suitable or worthy. He is worthy and so all our worthiness in the sight of God by faith is in Him alone.
