I do like J N Darby. While some of his syntax can be obscure at times, his close and careful study of dispensations and word meanings have been very helpful in understanding the Bible.

This is also why I an hesitant to endorse some of the insights of Reformed theology which - however appealing - is often based on a series of logical propositions rather than a direct, contextual, historical-grammatical interpretation of words and verses from Scripture itself.
