    The Five Points of Calvinism

I don't think you are taking Psalm 110.3 to heart. Clearly it is God that makes the person willing by His power. Philippians 2.13: ' it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.' I do concede that what you seem to believe and what I believe by God's grace are...

    The Five Points of Calvinism

Exactly. Until there is a work of the Spirit, the person witnessing can talk until blue in the face, as it were. I wish a lot of so called evangelicals would understand this before trying to use their persuasive methods and attribute to their methods so called blessing.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

Psalm 110.3. 'Thy people shall be willing in the day of Thy power'. It's by His power than they are willing.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

They know and belong to the shepherd, so they follow. (Sheep are not negotiators with a bunch of politicians who claim to be dispensing 'human rights'. When we read God's Word about the blessings of heaven graciously bestowed, we need a humble mindset to follow and obey.)

    The Five Points of Calvinism

They hear and follow because they are His, according to the passage you quoted.

How do you respond to "Christians are hypocrites"?

    @justbyfaith Great verses there!

    The Five Points of Calvinism

I think there's a wild mountain goat lurking in every unregenerate heart! :)

JESUS, the Holy Spirit, the Only True God.

It's so good for Sunday School children and young people to learn the Scriptures by heart; this will serve them well for later years.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

Yes, but Christ causes them to hear and follow; because He keeps them; if they were not His, they would not follow. If true believers have the Spirit of Christ indwelling, they cry 'Abba, Father' (Romans 8.15); if the Spirit does not indwell, they do not.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

I do feel that you - like may religious people - are applying a political mindset to God's Word, rather than recognizing that it is not we who 'call the shots', as it were, when God graciously blesses and keeps those whom Christ has bought by His blood at the Cross.

Poll - Tattooing: from male military and biker ethos...to viable witness means for both genders?

PS: Is she the one who likes tattoos? or maybe you are referring to the other daughter.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

Your scenario is, with respect, willful. You assume that sheep have human rights as insisted on by politicians. We are not able to communicate, I feel. We need to look at God's Word in terms of heaven's blessings - graciously imparted - and not as human rights politically grasped...until a...

    The Five Points of Calvinism

You were born into the sheepfold spiritually, right?

    The Five Points of Calvinism

You do not seem to see that wayward sheep need to be led; they are not consulted by the Shepherd Who owns them to find out their opinions; they are His already; they are bought with a price. I do see that generations of political ideology may have blinded people from being able to understand this.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

This is what it says; the passage you quoted: "I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand." The sheep belong to...

    The Five Points of Calvinism

Those verses say that Christ keeps His sheep. His wayward erring sheep do not keep themselves; it is the power of the Shepherd that keeps them.

Poll - Tattooing: from male military and biker ethos...to viable witness means for both genders?

Well, today some parlors are well-lit, airy, female-friendly places. In a sense, it's in the interests of the artists to have their parlors presented in this way, given the clientele that they now have. Did you know that 55%-70% or more of parlor clients in North America are female? (It used...

JESUS, the Holy Spirit, the Only True God.

Great verse! "Peace on earth, and mercy mild God and sinners reconciled!" :)
