The text says there was a light from heaven and a voice spoke to Paul via the light and identified itself as "Jesus" to Paul(Saul). No wonder this force that knocked Paul to the ground needed identification....it was not human in appearance.

In a sense, yes, but has been made a quickening spirit when his God resurrected him from the dead. He is an omnipresent human spirit that his God fully indwells.

This means Jesus never changes, not that he started his yesterday on a cross.

Sure he was in heaven, since he was slain from the foundation of the world, the firstborn of all creation, the first to resurrect(even before Lazarus/Enoch etc). You betcha he's been around before he was born of Mary. He has preeminence.
