My motto is it is better to debate an idea without settling it than to settle it without debating it. Ideas should be put to the test in secular AND religious ideas. The Lord made sure of that by putting a committee of men over the church to teach doctrines in Acts.

The alternative is cease to ask questions. I think the lemming doctrine is going away with the information age.

I bailed on the concept of God becoming a man after teaching it for over 30 years. I now teach that a resurrected man was made Almighty God. I think that is what the 1st century church taught.
