Interesting point! John 6 speaks of both Divine sovereignty and human responsibility. The work of the Holy Spirit in the heart is essential for the exercise of faith.

The church and Israel are distinct. The wording of Matthew 24 re. the great tribulation clearly indicates a unique event. "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." (verse 21). It is a different tribulation idea...

I disagree entirely with your apparent redefinition of what the Word of God is; and I don't think it's profitable to continue.

Well, God never acts against His Word, and so feeding on it daily and obeying it is my substantial understanding of the Christian life is about.

Not about the church, but certainly for the church's profit and learning...I love this short prophecy.
