My wife did The Chop years ago. Some ppl need to keep going back to have it cropped down to keep it fairly short; she and I often go to the hairdressers together.

...and of course, the big airline cartels were dead against Herb Keller's Southwest making air fares more affordable, whereas a lot of low cost airlines have subsequently followed Southwest's business model.

I don't think it was that; what I was referring to was Southwest's successful business plan for affordable air fares and also the fact that previously Dallas - Love Field had FAA restrictions which stopped it being used for many connections which would otherwise be profitable and in demand.
