Great verses in general terms, very relevant to many discussions also. In more specific term I was thinking of some of the things mentioned in Leviticus: both beards and tattoos; I would find it hard to be dogmatic one way or the other.

Scripture is indeed very nuanced and rich; and the panorama of revelation as it is in Christ is truly breathtaking. Sometimes the phrase types and shadows is used to refer to Old Testament language which speaks of preliminary and provisional symbols and practices which have now been superseded...
