I try to avoid that mindset. I maintain an attitude of gratitude. I am an American. I could have been born in the Congo, Thailand or the Amazon.

We complain because it is DOUBLE what we are accustomed to. We have our OWN oil, so it shouldn't be this high. There are no valid reasons for it to be this high.

I was recently talking to someone about how our opponents make up things about us then they burn up their scarecrow. And here you are!

Common tactic: Invent things your opponent does NOT believe so you can misrepresent their view, then build a scarecrow that is easily burnt up. I've noticed post trib and preterists and amillennialists are notorious for such "debate" tactics. JSYK

Were you originally taught pretrib upon your discipleship after salvation? That's typically how it works. I earned my Divinity degree at a pretrib IFB institution. But AFTER that, in my own study, I came away a solid midtrib believer.
