Hmm... what about unsaved children that die? Is it the same for them? They just stay dead?

What about those that were cremated?

No, I haven't. I began with Genesis, but it didn't keep my attention.

So, not heaven then? I think many Christians think that they will go to heaven upon death.

I'm curious. Does it say who this man is?

Do you think it's right for non-Christians that are decent people to end up in hell? Or do you believe we go somewhere else?

A man?

Well, then I guess I'll have to talk to him about it. Assuming I get the chance. Christians are divided on whether or not you go straight to heaven or hell upon death. Or if you get to plead your case.

I live in the United States. I think this sense of dread I feel could be a lead up to the next great war. A nuclear one maybe. I've had the sense for a while now that the era of the American empire is winding down. If I'm right, then the ship is already sinking. And I guess that means you're...

I guess you could say that. Because I can't be certain that there is no God. There's still no satisfying scientific explanation for why we're all here. I think Christians that try to squeeze evolution into Genesis are just desperate to try to reconcile their faith with science.

Well, I guess I don't have one. Still, I'm not convinced that I need one either. And even if I did, which version of Christianity should I choose? They can't agree amongst themselves what is true and what is not in their own faith.

I am persuaded by the majority of scientists that believe in evolution.

I haven't. But that evidence for a spherical earth is overwhelming. I wouldn't just take anyone's word for it. The vast majority do. The idea that they're all wrong seems improbable to me. I know of no scientists that believe the earth is flat. I know several Christians personally that either...

By becoming a Christian? If only it were so simple.

Why don't you believe that the earth is flat? If the scientists are wrong about evolution and biology, why do you believe they're correct about the shape of the earth?

So, the entire scientific community is wrong? This is the same kind of argument that flat eathers make.

What can I do about it? I don't have any control over what's going to happen in the world.

What of those in the scientific community that believe otherwise? Do you believe all of them are wrong?

Do you think humans evolved over time into what we are today? Or do you think we were always as we are now?

I know. I was just using it as an example. I see. Thank you for explaining. Given that he is invisible to you, and doesn't speak to you directly, how do you know that your prayers are not in vain?
