. The sting of death is sin (1 Cor. 15:56); sin brings death... which is why now, in the believer's time of redemption, the day of one's death is better than the day of one's birth! (Ecc. 7:1). We don't know that Jesus preached less "hard" or "died early on the cross." But we do know that if...

The "United States Government" is a corporation, from which we get the word "corpse" i.e. dead thing. Compromising with temporal powers can never lead to redemption. Most "Christians" have accepted the unrighteous code of the corporation, instead of insisting that the corporation follow the...

. Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. (Rom. 12:9). Meanwhile, debate remains a characteristic of the reprobate mind: And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those...

I just had a look at your posts, going back several years. And sadly, I notice your MO has remained the same: demand volumes of non-biblical rubbish so you can carry on with your non-biblical crusade. At the moment, your Soup du Jour is Ellen White, but from your previous posts, that character...

. Let Brakelite answer for himself re: my post #276. .

Can't speak to your article dated 20 years ago. My brother currently manages a bank in Florida. Teller training does not include exposure to any counterfeit currency. In any case, the bottom line is the Holy Bible, not historical SDA denominational dogma or bank teller trivia. Where is...

You said you're not SDA. Then get on with that. Meanwhile, let Brakelite answer for himself re: my post #276.

Now we would be spammed with SDA propaganda. Bank tellers are experts at spotting counterfeit currency. However, they are NEVER allowed to study any counterfeit currency during their training! Rather, they study every single detail of REAL currency. They thoroughly examine the graphics. They...

. Then why continually gush over her, exposing us to the blatherings of a documented false prophet, in a Christian forum? I'm certain the same could be said of Adolph Hitler. Again, what is motivating you to carry on so with the blatant generic patronage? Follow your example? You're joking...

...believed by whom? I am eternally hopeful, but God will indeed turn such over to a reprobate mind in the absence of repentance.

. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Rev. 22:20) I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit. (Ecc. 1:14). .

This is an extraordinary perspective and it cuts like the proverbial two-edged sword. The idea of stumblingblocks is essentially synonymous with the New Testament concept of Strongholds. This is another way of describing a stumblingblock. A "Stronghold" is a place where someone or something may...

That statement highlights the gist of this entire thread and the dangers of "textual criticism." "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face. Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his...

The word of God is clear that it is a sin to deal presumptuously with others: Numbers 15:30, "But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people." Deuteronomy 17:13...

From the OP: Is it a sin to wear cosmetics? There is nothing intrinsically wrong with using cosmetics, even as there is nothing intrinsically wrong with adorning our homes with decorations or landscaping our gardens with beautiful flowers. Where the problem of sin occurs is in the attitude...

Your fleshly efforts will avail nothing. Rather, it's the Holy Spirit who does the heavy lifting - IF you submit to him and none other. While I cannot speak for others, I am not offended. I have no warrant to be offended. And while I do understand why you "characterized" your situation, honesty...

Then it should be easy for you to post scripture affirming your claim, but you can't because there isn't any. Yes, "in the bible." The Holy Bible is what you need to be reading, rather than the opinions of other men. Your post contains NOT ONE scripture reference. The entire "Left Behind"...

and The ones taken were taken to destruction - not evacuation. The Holy Bible does not say that. "worthy to escape" is NOT synonymous with "evacuation."

Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isa. 61:3).
