That is a good way to frame this. That the lies and false teachings seek to please man and not God. Seek to apease man and not God. A simple truth that can easily be identified.

The rise of false teachings has coincided with the rise of Postmodernism. Which is basically everything is relative. But especially related to self and self referencial truths. As mentioned by the OP everything is measured against feelings and lived experiences. This becomes the all important...

I have a background in sociology and psychology. So I often see the overall patterns of human behaviour within families, socialisation and culture. This may contribute to the way I see things and visions I see for how culture and the world is and will develop. Overall I see that in recent times...

Only to a certain level. It is Irans persistence in going well beyond enrichment for peaceful purposes. Put this together with their continual terrorist activity around the world in financing terrorist groups and development of balllistic misiles. Which they often use to indescriminately bomb...

I say there is no free will is to say there is no 'true self' in the world. Or in reality or as experienced. That its all in the imagination and nothing of substance. A by product of electrical impulses and chemical reactions. Best best evidence for free will is our own experience of it. We...

Ignatius of Antioch who was a disciple of John mentioned in his Letter to the Smyrnaeans mentions "wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church". Catholic church simply meaning universal church in Christ. Just as the individual is transformed by Christ spirit. So is Christ church...

I am not sure of that. It seems Iran had been breaching the nuclear nonproliferation agreements and in June 2025, after the UN nuclear watchdog declared Iran in violation and the US engaging in negociations with Iran that failed. Then the United States bombed Iran’s major nuclear facilities...

Lol its a metaphor for the type of preaching that involves politics or culture usually. TED Talks are usually in front of an audience on different social issues. They may add some science or sociology and culture. As opposed to grounding preaching in GOds word. They may even rationalise Gods...

You have got it back the front. This is a Christian debate forum. Christians commenting on issues that affect society and the world is not being an armchair political and cultural commentator or critic. Its pointing out the Christian perspective. We are allowed to give our beliefs in a free...

How did you come to this conclusion ?

I think theres some ancient spirits still lurking around that goes back to how all the people divided into tribes and nations after the tower of babel. Even tracing back before this to Cain. Primarily these different tribes and nations stem from Cain. Thus the land and peoples were generally...

Good video. I could imagine after Christ and Penticost how the followers of Jesus met in worship and fellowship. There would have been many upper rooms. Or any secret room in a back street. Some wealthy women donated their homes for Christians to meet in. Christ would have still been fresh in...

I don't know what the next step is. Its not a good situation whichever way nayone deals with it. If you leave the radicals alone then they just build and build towards their objective. Even if that is developing a nuclear weapon. The same bombs that reahed Isreal could very well one day have a...

Difference is I am not trying to be an armchair war critic. All I am doing is pointing out the facts. I don't side with any side. I laid out the situation as it is. That is we have had terror committed for decades now and its got worse and no one has properly addressed the situation. Thats it...

Iran has been behind the terror committed throughout the world. Ever since the Khamenei regime has taken over. It began by attacking its own people and surrounding Ara nations trying to force an Islamist revolution. It aligned with the PLO and Iran has allied and funded several anti-Israeli...

I hate all the armchair war debates. Many have tried and failed to deal with this ongoing issue. I don't know what the answer is. If you leave your damned because we know the radicals will grow and are willing for a holy war against Isreal and the west. The west has already experienced some of...

Thank God we don't have to know everything about life to know God. Christ came so that we have a tangible example to follow. To measure against when we fall short. Who understands our human weaknesses because He became a man who dwelt among us. When I look back I can see many times I did not...

I pray that Christs sacrifice will take away your burden of pain. That you be lifted beyond your pain by Christs spirit filling your heart. Amen.

Well said. As I was reading I began to wonder that after Christianity begun so quiet and humble and yet faithful till death. Then grew into an empire of the world. That we are coming full circle and back to the quiet and humble and faithfill again. When you break it down with how the church...

I didn't watch the whole video but I think I got the gist of what William Lane Craig was saying. From my experience I can relate in that my journey has been a continued realisation of Gods will as opposed to mine that keeps getting in the way. Just when I think I am on track to follow Gods will...
