    Israel "the promised land"

You are missing the metaphor's intent.

    Israel "the promised land"

But there is in the conveyed context of H:0127 being translated as "land."

    Israel "the promised land"

It seems that there is a translation problem with the Hebrew word H:0127 which has the meaning of "reddish soil." In the context of Amos 9:15 God will plant Israel in His fertile soil/field and no one will be able to take them from the fertile soil I have given them. Shalom

Like As a Father Pitieth His Children, So The Lord Pitieth Them That Fear Him.

A more modern translation of Psalm 103:13 is: - "Just as a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear Him."

Perhaps this comparison of the two parables will help. Page 1 Page 2 The above comparison table of the two parables show just how similar the two parables are.

What I should have also said was that: - Firstly, in the Luke account, some of the man of noble birth's servants sent a delegation after the man saying that they no longer wanted the man to rule over them. Luke 19:14 suggests that the some of the servants were Israelites, which give a clue as...

Again, I repeat what I had previously posted. That is your conclusion, however, I had also looked at the Greek text used and came to the understanding that I did back over twenty years ago. In fact, what I have posted is what I was taught around 65 years ago and when I considered both...

    Israel "the promised land"

We should remember that all of the covenant promises of "land" given to the Patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob had a clause embedded within them where the time frame of the possession of the promised land had an end point which was beyond the ability for the Israelites to comprehend. We tend...

    Jacob/Israel

This is true. King David was in the line of Judah and not from Ephraim's line of descendants. Yes, King David was a 10th generational descendant of Judah and his father's name was Jessie who lived in Bethlehem. I cannot make any sense of this statement. Oh well, since I am also often in...

    Jacob/Israel

Some writers have suggested that it was Isaac who had suggested that Leah should be buried in the cave of Machpelah. We must remember that the line of the patriarch mentioned in Christ's genealogy went through Judah, the third son of Leah. Joseph, Jacob favourite son was buried in a field that...

Where the waiting occurs is not that important and everyone who are not part of the first resurrection will be waiting.

You are welcome to hold whatever opinion/understanding you want to hold with respect to the Parables of the Talents and Minas. Sadly, you are blindly accepting the traditions of men rather than the understanding that Christ was conveying in both parables. In both parables, the man who goes...

    Need Both Arms

It is my understanding that the prophecies in Ez 38-39 are still over 1,000 years into our future and will occur when the Bottomless pit is unlocked to release the prisoners from the Bottomless Pit at the beginning of the Little While Period and we are told that Satan and his beasts will march...

What Happens To You After Your Body Dies

What happens to you after your body dies? You have to wait for Christ's return.

Why can't folks here be considerate of others by sticking to the topic rather than hijacking and destroying threads?

Matthew where has your fluency in presenting topics come from these days? It looks so much more refined than what I remember just a few years ago. If, what you are posting was written by others, it would be considerate on your part to acknowledge who they are within your posts. Know what I mean?

Sorry @newnature, but I do not believe that you have grasped what I had posted in #2 above. None of your posts where you have referenced what I posted in response to your post #4 has dealt with what I had posts in my post #2. At the moment you are talking at me as if I have no understanding...
