Ah, assuming that is true for a moment, but is "good" good enough for eternal life? Adam and Eve were declared to be "good" when they were created...........but not yet perfect because they had not yet eaten from the Tree of Life.

Believing what GOD has said about His begotten children is self-justification to Epi. The same as he equates believing what GOD has said about unbelievers to judgment/condemnation of them by us.

The problem I have with Epi's holiness is that it has no foundation..........he has dug out the foundation of the gospel. I'm not in disagreement in principle with holiness......that is why I came to his threads originally, but after finding out about other things he believes, I've been trying...

I believe the sin nature (old man) has been crucified....but that it is still possible to walk in it, in different degrees or at different times, in spite of that reality. What is taking place on "earth" doesn't always reflect what has taken place in heaven, the spiritual/heavenly...

Amen. And in rightly dividing the word we need to understand which righteousness the Lord is referring to in any given passage. One's own righteousness or the righteousness of God.

Are you just going to ignore the scriptures I posted which clearly say there is none righteous, no not one? I pointed out another contradiction with respect to being "perfect" as well, and resolved it too..... and you are ignoring that as well. It's not convoluted....just take your time with it.

I'm not sure what you mean by your question, but our sins are forgiven and cleansed and we are given a fresh new start, and placed on the path of righteousness by the Lord, going in a new direction than we were previously.

We always need to hear what the Spirit is saying. Just because the Lord uses the same word in different places, it doesn't mean that He means the exact same literal thing by it in every instance. We need to resolve these apparent contradictions rather than pitting one scripture against...
