But I was not talking of Jesus' second advent, I was speaking of when God will begin gathering the nation of Israel to Himself by planting them in God's fertile field and teaching them on the basis of the religion of Israel.

Let us consider the whole chapter attached as a PDF. I am not sure that this is a near future series of event or a distant serious of events. It is a common mistake that people reference a distant future event as being a near future event and as such the forum discussion becomes confusing.

What Bible Translation do you think is the best?

For my two cents worth, I have taken the NKJV and using an Interlinear, changed some of the paraphrasing of the translation to reflect the contextual meaning of the original text. It is also important to have a good understanding of the underlying storyline. An example of where our present...

God allowed it and it happened in 70 A.D. when the last of the Israelites were scattered throughout the whole earth. Jews claim that God's promises were that they would possess prescribed land(s) as a forever covenantal promise. The Covenant Promise of 'land' always had a sun set clause within...

How to answer my son's questions

Perhaps you could also quietly pray once for your son, without telling him, that God would include him amongst those whom He is drawing to Himself so that they may come to know of God's great love for people and that your son would also come to know what God's purpose for his life will be.
