Yes, but I have heard many pastors and preachers wrongfully teaching that the Master in both the parable of the Talents and the Minia is Christ who goes away for a time which is contrary to a number of verses. Here is a sample: - Genesis 28:15: - 15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you...

Davy, your calling down a rebuke from God and Jesus is not lifting anyone up at all. You are claiming that I have SDA roots, which is a blatant lie on your part, is not true at all. There is no point in having a conversation with you at all, particularly when you are only interesting is...

What this thread has demonstrated is that our understanding of the scriptures is very dependent upon what it is that we want to see and know and the parables etc become lost in the complexity of our own minds. Shalom

I am testing my memory now. He is a Baptist Pastor in Australia. Rhys Mcfadden. His understanding of the Parable of the Talents and Minas has probably changed a lot since the early 2000's. As I said above, even back then I did not hold to his understanding.

He was suggesting that if we find ourselves in this situation, that we should oppose Satan and confirm to him that he has no right to the harvest of souls, just as Jesus would do. His first name was Reece, and he was speaking at a men's camp at the turn of the century. For my part I disagreed...

This should answer your question He is old enough to know better but still young enough to enjoy it.

Sadly Matthias, your understanding of the Parable of the Talents and Minas has been corrupted because of the lack of reading comprehension of the very parables themselves. A pastor explained that Jesus was the wicked servant in both of these parables who was telling the master, i.e. Satan, that...

Are you suggesting that Davy is eating from the same Tree of Knowledge as Adam and Eve ate from? Sadly Davy is using false argument in his weak rebuttals in a vain attempt to win brownie points.

Oh Davy, why is it that you do not follow your own requirement of not being different when you find fault with so many other posters. Why is that you are not agreeing with their points of view. Why is it that you need to be different. Davy why is it that you could not answer my question...

There are those who the same view of you, as you do of other members. Do you believe that your wisdom is untouchable compared to others on this forum?

Oh Davy, it is so sad that you do not understand what has been written in the scriptures. At this stage I have not tried to pen a book to sell in Christian Bookstores as you are insinuating. I have read The Word of God just like you have, but I have come to very different conclusions. Davy...

Do you include yourself with the many illiterates when you put other posters down.

Hello, speaking of John 2:19? This is how this verse has been translated: - Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The important portion of this verse is what has been highlighted and made bold. What is the sign that Jesus gave in the...

Maybe. The context of her dreams maybe for another closer time.

Australia is very rich in oil and natural gas and the Australian Government/army is very aware of this fact. The scope of these resources has not really been mapped yet.

The gathering of the Saint up into the air to meet Jesus at His coming is still a distant future event, probably around 1,040 or so years from now. So yes, the Saints alive and still worshipping God around that time will also go through the fire, not to destroy them but rather to refine them.

I will be praising God because He now will have time to take my kinks out through His testing of His Elect.

Satan and His angel beasts are presently operating on the face of the earth at this moment, but in around 20 years' time, God will Judge the Heavenly Hosts and imprison them in the Bottomless Pit for many days, i.e. for 1,000 years. When the Bottomless Pit is unlocked the Kings of the Earth...

This is true. Because of the fall, everybody has become a candidate of the second death, because of their "mark of the beast." However, if they humble themselves and repent of their sin(s) then God will hear from Heaven and will change them such that they will have His mark upon them and gain...

No, but possibly within the next 1,050 solar years, but I am not counting that I will still be alive then, but I will be resurrected to face my judgement for my life and actions.
