    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

If the Lord forgave the thief, meaning his sins were forgiven, as he did others, why would he not be in paradise with the Lord as was promised if his sins were forgiven and he sinned no more in that short period he lived afterwards? And, if the Lord said he himself would be in paradise that day...

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

The NT covenant had not yet been established until the Lord's death (Hebrews 9:16). At that time, Jesus came into his kingdom, his heavenly kingdom, with his earthly kingdom, the church, soon to follow (Acts 2). And once again, paradise equates or equated to the 3rd heaven, which already existed...

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

What about the 30 that say otherwise? And as I stated previously, that makes no sense ! If that were the case, the word "today" would be unnecessary and redundant. That's like me saying talking to you right now, "I'm telling you TODAY that you're wrong", ( which you are). Why, if we were...

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

There's nothing to "interpret"; just read the words, they are explicit. And scripture for sure can't and doesn't conflict with scripture.

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

You speak as though you were there witnessing what happened; you weren't. I'll trust what the scripture says and it says, in Jesus own words, that he would be in paradise on that very day.

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

Believe what you like, but the scriptures are clear. Paradise = the third heaven which is there now. Goodbye

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

I suggest you look at ALL translations and count how any have a comma or similar pause placed before the word "today". I also suggest you take off your shoes so you have enough digits to count on, and that still won't e enough! And, irregardless if there were no commas in the original...

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

??? and ??? You're wrong again! Look closely at where the comma is placed in that scripture @ Luke 23:43; it's placed before the word "today", not after as you're errantly inferring. If it were placed after, I would agree with you, but it's not. BIG difference in it's meaning. Luke 23:43...

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

Fact: Jesus told the thief he would be with him in paradise that very, same day. Fact: paradise and the 3rd heaven are one in the same.

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

You're wrong about paradise. The scriptures say it IS the third heaven. 2 Cor:2-4 2I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. 3And I knew such a man...

How Did the False Pre-trib Rapture Get Started?

How? Like all other false teaching, predicted upon a lack of scriptural understanding.

    Believers are priests

Believers aren't necessarily priests, but Christians, all Christians, are priests which is beyond simply a believer. Belief + baptism into Christ = salvation, which makes you a Christian. Mk 16:15-16 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature...

Are Mormons Christians? (Latter Day Saints)

A Christian is one owned by Christ, one that has been baptized into the body of Christ which is his church. Let that definition fall where it may.

Is the Great Commission for every believer?

Aabsolutely! Otherwise, it would have ceased with the death of the apostles, and there'd be no church growth or continuity.

    How to Test the Spirits?

God doesn't tempt, but allows us to be tempted. James 1:13 13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

How do YOU know where Jesus was that day? If he said he'd be in paradise, then he WAS in paradise irrespective of what YOU think. And parable or not, it still infers the continuation of consciousness upon death. Jesus would not mislead or confuse by any statement he made, parable or otherwise.

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

Was the thief on the cross, who was promised would be in paradise with the Lord, taken there sleeping or to go to sleep? Likewise, was the rich man, in the story of Lazarus and the rich man, asleep or was he in torments of fire immediately upon death?

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

Two examples of what happens to the soul which is the entity, or being you become. One is the example of Lazarus and the rich man, who found himself in hell. The other is the exact opposite which is the thief on the cross who was promised he would be on paradise with the Lord.

    Most accurate modern translation?

So what specifically are the issues with each of these?

    SALVATION OF ANIMALS

Just FYI: it's the spirit that returns to God who gave it, not the soul. Soul and spirit and two different things. Ecclesiastes 12:7—“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it” (KJV)
