Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

Give me a break! Not too likely in practice.

30 Reasons To Quit Social Media

^^ THIS could be its own thread! I've been criticized online for not being compassionate enough. I can't so heavily invest in someone I've never even met. You got a problem. I'm sorry to hear that. Consider these solutions ... done.

30 Reasons To Quit Social Media

The difference is pull v push. I shut off notifications and pull from this source what interests me. You keep threatening this. Why? (I don't want you to quit but am curious)

Which is worse, murder or eternal torture?

It's God's creation so he sets the rules; it is His way or the highway (to Hell). FWIW, I reject ECT, eternal conscious torment as unbiblical. The fire burns eternally but the damned are annihilated, which is why they call it 2nd death. Somehow people got the idea that there is eternal suffering.

How Long Do You Date Before You Get Married?

Good question for a separate thread. I don’t want to hijack this thread.

How Long Do You Date Before You Get Married?

Not all change is for the better. Therefore, the Christian church has changed in the last 3 centuries; in some ways good; in some ways bad. In some ways it has regressed. In some ways it. Has progressed. Through it all, the Bible and the Holy Spirit remain our North Star.

How Long Do You Date Before You Get Married?

How Confidant Are You Being Saved?

Nope. Every verse was from the NT Grace.

How Confidant Are You Being Saved?

Again, you ignore verses inconvenient for your doctrine and allow only verses for discussion that support your position. I trust anyone reading these exchanges recognize the intellectual dishonesty of your posts.

How Confidant Are You Being Saved?

The OSAS crowd wants to ignore the conditional implication of “IF.” If we don’t walk in the light is an option with the negation Of what follows: We do NOT have fellowship with each other The blood of Christ does NOT cleanse us from all sin. Otherwise, the conditional IF serves no purpose in...

How Confidant Are You Being Saved?

There is no bigger contradiction than confidence = fear. This is true despite your indoctrination of pivoting from you to God. Appeal to Diversion. How confident are you? I’m confident … in someone else.

How Confidant Are You Being Saved?

@Eternally Grateful just cannot bring himself to address his contradiction. He simply doubles down on the trope of a free gift, side stepping our burden to act after the fact. If sin was taken care of on the cross, then universalism is correct doctrine?

How Confidant Are You Being Saved?

So, absolutely no need to fear God one little bit? Doesn't sound too biblical.

Don’t Mistake Mercy for Approval: The Silent Warning of God’s Patience

Indeed. There should be such profound gratitude and humility that one seeks to make not disappointing the unearned favor. A human example. A parent of a small, beloved child takes a much needed shower. The child escapes the house and finds her way onto the busy street. Just as the parent gets...

Don’t Mistake Mercy for Approval: The Silent Warning of God’s Patience

To paraphrase what I wrote in another thread, only a fool could believe an all knowing God would send his son to suffer and die horribly for lip service. "Ibull eve" is insufficient; a transformed life, starting with genuine and complete repentance is the ante. Philippians 2:12, "work out your...

    Prayer for President Trump

I primarily pray for Trump's protection from demonic forces and the snakes plotting daily for his destruction as well as to be guided by the Holy Spirit to make decisions that are best for the country and glorify God.

    When Doctrine Corrects Christ

    When Doctrine Corrects Christ

Yes I did answer the question - just not the way you want. See post #21. Also, you still didn’t answer the question.
