Is God Magnanimous? - (as opposed to tyrannical)

Assuming argument (that which you call engagement) is the path to righteousness, only leaves one with a head full of pride, empty pockets and a heart which hates.

All I can say Hidden, there are questions you have not asked or do not want to ask and assumptions born from what you refuse to understand. It births accusations which propel you to 'travelling land and sea to make a single convert.......'. However, persuasion is not brought about by arms being...

Jack, I have laboured with your insistence on misrepresentations and left field statements for a good while now. The relentless senseless repetition you engage on this matter has clinched the decision to leave you to them.

Is God Magnanimous? - (as opposed to tyrannical)

Yes, I'm aware the scripture has these texts. The question I ask myself is, who is it that holds the trump card on how I am to perceive God's nature/ character?. The deciding factor is what the voice from the cloud on the Mt of Transfiguration told Peter, James and John. Here they were, Jesus...

What is it about those scriptures that get your attention Lizbeth? Is it the idea that God kills and gives life, hates and loves?...arbitrarily?.....because he is the Boss?

God is not the killer/ destroyer. Deceived mankind who have believed their father, think they will get a better deal by lying, stealing, killing and destroying. (John 10:10) They will finally be mentally and emotionally bankrupt and will desire death to the torment of that realisation. It is...

I'm reminded of Jesus words, 'the days are coming when those who kill you will think they are offering God service' So I ask myself, mahhhh, what are a few misrepresentations of my posts.....it's just noise in an attempt to make folk feel better in their own skin......nothing in comparison.

Turn it any way you want Hidden, what can not be escaped from is that slow train coming.

It's noteworthy that I considered you in the same vane as these guys above. No doubt the last day will reveal who qualifies as wheat and who as tares.

If ever there was a deflection, you have embraced it.

Your reply appears to me as if you haven't heard a thing I've said.

Yes, you are wrong in your observations. Contextually you have shown yourself uninterested in hearing explanations. You have lobbed yourself into the same camp as Jack in that regard. Denial only serves your inability to want to know what you refuse to hear.....and so you remain stuck.....all...

    Need Joy

Joy is robbed when one forgets that God gave us two ears and one mouth.

I see the expression 'slow train coming' has left an impression whether you like it or not. My guess is your constant reinforcement of it, either in jest or mocking will only etch it further into your consciousness.

So there you go again Hidden, putting your shame on intentional display

Is heaven only for Christians? - That's convenient

When a person conflates his/her opinions with the bible and cannot see where the dividing line is he/she advertises their perceptive limitations.

You guys get your rocks off by relentlessly putting others down and elevating yourselves. The spirit operating in these posts tells me about your wiring.

@Hiddenthings Ever wonder why Jesus was not in the face of those who maligned him, after his resurrection?
