'For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.' (1 Peter 3:17) 'Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment...

Hello @DayandZoe, Is this what the writers of the Epistles exhorted those under their care to do, in the face of the opposition they were receiving? I think a reading of the practical section of each of the epistles would be good to read in regard to how we should behave in this present...

Hello @CadyandZoe The authorities guard the vulnerable by whatever means are deemed necessary to preserve life, and defeat this disease which is taking the lives of so many. A building has been closed, so what! It is only a building. Our fellowship is with the Father and with the Son, by the...

Hello @Enoch111, There has been an official investigation into the cause of this pandemic, and lab-manufacture has been ruled out as a possible cause. As for the pastors you speak of, they would be better served in serving their own community by obeying their governments decisions, and...

Hello there, @Triumph1300, These rules and regulations concerning social interaction today are for a purpose, and hopefully for a relatively short duration. Our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, by the Spirit, and so the temporary closure of a building is...

Hello @Enoch111, With respect this is your own interpretation of events and their causes, and there is no evidence to support it. Thank you In Christ Jesus Chris

Hello @The Viking Jew, Why have we had other serious outbreaks of disease throughout history, which have had to be overcome? The global spread of this particular virus is because of the habits of humans now, and the ready availability of transportation to any part of the world. So the...

'For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that He had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their...

Hello @Empyrean, Curious about your user name and looking it up, I can only deduce that you perceive yourself to be a citizen of the highest heaven: Yes? The believer's citizenship certainly is in heaven where Christ sits at God's right hand, because he is where his Lord is, for he is 'in...

Hello there, I believe it was the Lord who brought me out of the denominations, though it was I who left of course. This took place when I was in my thirties. The Lord has provided fellowship in ones and twos since then. My personal study had caused me to question certain aspects of the...

Hello @Hidden In Him, You ask two questions:- 1. Which of the following assurances (to new believers) do you feel are most important and why? 2. How do you feel the modern church is currently doing in regard to providing any or all of the above? - I am sorry, but I have no answer to the second...

Hi @Waiting on him, It's in Jude. Love in Christ Jesus Chris

Hello @Cristo Rei & Co., Those of us who are trusting in God's Word concerning His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, are walking in the light of the presence of God, in Christ Jesus. It is our purpose to honour Him, and to glorify His Name. We therefore believe God's word, and that includes what is...

Now that would be a tragedy, @JohnDB ;)

'Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, He taketh up the isles as a very little thing. ------- All nations before Him are as nothing; and they are counted to Him less than nothing, and vanity.' (Isaiah 40:15 & 17) Hello...

Hello Addy. You say there, sweet-heart. In Christ Jesus Chris

(Q) What Do You Picture Heaven to Be Like? Hello there,@April_Rose, If you look at passages of Scripture in the book of Revelation, heaven can be a noisy place. In Revelation 8:1 the silence which lasted for 30 mins was remarked upon. The events recorded in that book are to take place at a...

Hi there, @Grunt Hemlock, The soul is the whole person energized by life. For God breathed into Adam's nostrils and he became a living soul. He was not a living soul until that moment. He will not be a living soul when the 'breath of life' returns to God at his death. Only at the...

Hello @saintiaint, It is not without reason that our bodies are called bodies of humiliation is it? I believe that everyone who reads your post understands very well what you are saying and why. * However, it is also true that we have died with Christ, and been raised with Christ to newness...

Hello @Behold, Your words came to my mind this morning in the wee small hours of the new day. For I had the words of the prayer of Ephesians 3:14-21 in my mind, (14) For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, (15) Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is...
