Hades, Hell ... not the same place!

Your view nullifies the Great White Throne Judgment. Think about it. The GWT Judgment is the final judgment. All reprobates _ in Hades _ will then be thrown into the Lake of Fire. Death itself, Satan and demons will be cast into this Lake as well and destroyed. If Hades is the same as Hell...

Hades, Hell ... not the same place!

200 million are released from the Abyss during the Great Tribulation along with Abaddon. (Rev. 9) So then there is something worse then Hell, the Lake of Fire? Hades is destroyed in the Lake, which is the final judgment.

Hades, Hell ... not the same place!

Unbelieving souls go to Hades (the underworld, but separate from Tarturus, where the demons are) and await their final judgment. The second resurrection will involve the inhabitabts of Hades and they will be thrown into the Lake of Fire, which is Hell. Hades isn't Hell and that is a...

The Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus

IT IS NOT A PARABLE! This is not symbolic language, and is to be taken literally. Why? Parables DO NOT include specific names of real people, like Abraham, nor his spiritual location. Prior to Christ death and resurrection, Sheol was divided into two locations, one for the faithful to God and...

Does God love burning people in hell?

IT IS NOT A PARABLE! This is not symbolic language, and is to be taken literally. Why? Parables DO NOT include specific names of real people, like Abraham, nor his spiritual location. War in The Middle East - likely the one!

Here we go again after a lull for a month; more fighting provokes an emergency meeting of UN Security Council. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/liveblog/2023/5/11/israel-palestine-live-news-gaza-rocket-unit-commander-killed https://m.jpost.com/arab-israeli-conflict/live-updates-742478...

People claiming to have seen Heaven

You are mistaken. Another book came out around the same time by Alex Malarkey, The Boy That Came Back From Heaven" -- that was a fake. https://www.theguardian.com/books/2015/jan/21/boy-who-came-back-from-heaven-alex-malarkey Heaven Is For Real is about Colton Burpo. Pastor Todd Burpo, his Dad...

People claiming to have seen Heaven

"Heaven Is For Real" is a good book, made into a movie - watch it. It is an account of a four year old boy on the operaring table who left his body while under, saw angels who sang to him, spoke to Jesus and relatives who've past on that he never knew about. Before he was born, his mother had a...

Is my understanding of the timeline of end-times events accurate?

More of pushing Universalism again! "IN CHRIST" all will be made alive and bow a knee. In Christ means you gave been born again. You believe in and follow Christ. Judgment and destruction comes to those who don't along with the first heavens and first earth. Once the New Jerusalem comes down...

Christianity requires fear, guilt, and conformity

I scoffed at evangelists for Chriat before became a Christian. When you are spiritually blind, you resort to common rational reasoning, your senses, experiences, knowledge, etc.; but even so, "since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since...

Christianity requires fear, guilt, and conformity

You can't be selective with guilt. It cones on you suddenly when you do something wrong, bad, say something hurtful and as soon as you do it, it is like a rush of adreniline. Can you control adrenaline? How about embarrassment, that rush of red, opps I got caught with my zipper down or hand in...

Would you breed your dog, have 8 puppies, keep 2 and then dump the rest in the middle of nowhere?

Imagine if Christianity actually taught that? There would be no need to spread the Gospel and everyone could choose to live anyway they wanted with or without a relationship with God. The Bible would be very short ... "Just try to be as good as you can ... but don't fret, everyone gets in."...

Would you breed your dog, have 8 puppies, keep 2 and then dump the rest in the middle of nowhere?

Aionios has variable meanings. When applied to God, His domain, our Salvation, it means eternal. Of course concerning our salvation it means forward into eternity. But when applied to this world and everything in it which is temporal, including Hades, death, Satan and his demons, aionios means...

Christianity requires fear, guilt, and conformity

Godly sorrow leads one to the LIGHT. This realization that you have sinned against a Holy God is guilt. We are guilty. Seeing this is the first step towards repentance ( turning towards God for help to escape this dilemma). His solution is for you to ask for forgiveness and believe that He died...

Would you breed your dog, have 8 puppies, keep 2 and then dump the rest in the middle of nowhere?

I don't adhere to the traditional Christian view of eternal torment. This motivated me to write a book with two chapters devoted to the nature of Hell: " Hell ... If I Know".

Would you breed your dog, have 8 puppies, keep 2 and then dump the rest in the middle of nowhere?

The Gospel is the backbone. But even that is a poor analogy; I would call it the heart of Christianity. The Good News shines light on the Bad News.

Would you breed your dog, have 8 puppies, keep 2 and then dump the rest in the middle of nowhere?

Agreed, I never claimed otherwise. And God is the Savior for all who believe. "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”John 8:24

Would you breed your dog, have 8 puppies, keep 2 and then dump the rest in the middle of nowhere?

No, that is why a keep a lease on my dog to prevent her from running into traffic. I do all that I can to keep her healthy and happy - my Lulu. She's a good girl. But some bad dogs, like pit bulls that bite people and cannot be controlled -- must be put down! God gives life and takes it away...

Why does God give faith to some but not everyone? (Ephesians 2:8)

Some seek and ask for it and others don't. He sees all. So according to His foreknowledge, He knows who will. Some scholars would argue against that. But I can't see it any other way. Foreknowledge is seeing things before they happen, knowing the person before they were born -- go figure. If it...

Would you breed your dog, have 8 puppies, keep 2 and then dump the rest in the middle of nowhere?

Not a good analogy but I'll play along. I allow the dogs to grow to an age where they can decide to receive a life saving vaccine that will cure them of their mental and behavioral disease. I'll try over and over again in different ways. After years of rebelling, biting the hand that feeds them...
