Greetings Aunty Jane, I agree with much of what you say, but I noticed that you added in a strong and authoritative manner some of the unique JW teachings in the process and I disagree with these. Some of these are off topic, but some have some bearing on this subject. You quote here from the...

Greetings "St SteVen", I consider that Moses and Elijah were actually there, and did give to Jesus both encouragement and advice about Jesus' impending suffering, crucifixion and resurrection. The whole event would also encourage Jesus, fixing in his own mind the reality of the future kingdom...

Greetings CTK, Yes, I believe that it speaks of the 2300 years from BC 334-333, the overcoming of Persian Ram by the Grecian Goat headed up by Alexander the Great, to AD 1967 when the nation of Israel retook Jerusalem. Kind regards Trevor

Greetings again GodsGrace, @Hobie should be willing to give a better explanation, but he has not responded as yet. I assumed that you were a SDA as the subject of a National Sabbath Law is a very prominent teaching by the SDAs and one of the main sources of their teaching is by Ellen G White...

Greetings GodsGrace, Perhaps living in Italy, such a Law may be considered possible, but I doubt it. Our local Catholic Church has a fairly good attendance, and to give the Catholics plenty of time for their various Sunday activities, they have one service on Saturday evening, and another very...

Greetings Hobie, The dissertation by EGW in the book The Great Controversy is quite amusing in its detail and it seems that this has locked in this false SDA scenario. I doubt that the local Catholics will accept any law that restricts their sport, shopping and other activities on Sunday. Nor...

Greetings CTK, The clay of the fourth Kingdom, the Roman, is the invasion and establishment of the Huns, Vandals Visigoths etc., representing the breakup and decline of the Roman Empire into various kingdom/territories. Verses 35 and 44 state that the stone will smite the image and replace it...

Greetings again asoul, But you have raised this strange topic here, in this thread, and the following statement lacks true balance. Mary worship is idolatry. Kind regards Trevor

Greetings asoul, A most unusual post with many strange ideas completely outside Scriptural truth. For example, there is no such thing as the Trinity, as Jesus is the Son of God, not God the Son and Mary is both dead and buried awaiting the resurrection when Christ returns. Kind regards Trevor

Greetings Walter and Debbie, Gentile Christians are under no obligation to keep the Sabbath. Christ is the True Sabbath and we find our rest in Him. Matthew 11:25–30 (KJV): 25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these...

Greetings again Jay Ross, Yes. Kind regards Trevor

Greetings again Jay Ross, I consider that the Battle of Armageddon and Ezekiel 38 are describing the same event, each giving additional detail. Kind regards Trevor

Greetings again Jay Ross, I am not sure of what you are saying here. The invasion from the North in Ezekiel 38 occurs after the return of the Jews to the Holy Land: Ezekiel 38:7–9 (KJV): 7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be...

Greetings Jay Ross, The Gog/Magog armies of Ezekiel 38 are before the start of the 1000 years, while the Gog/Magog armies of Revelation 20 are at the end of the 1000 years. Kind regards Trevor

Greetings again CTK, This is the predominant view that I have heard in my fellowship for many years. I attended a Daniel home study class in 1966, with my brother-in-law as the speaker, and under the guidance of an older brother. My pencil notes on that occasion taken from his whiteboard are as...

Greetings again CTK, Just briefly, I consider the main fulfilment of the 2300 evening/mornings is from BC 334-333 the defeat of the Medo-Persian Ram by the Grecian Alexandrian Goat to AD 1967 when the Jews recaptured Jerusalem. I will be interested in how you bring in your three time periods...

Greetings CTK, I am at a loss as to what is your view of the 2300 and the 1290, 1335 time periods. I am prepared to wait until you give further clarification. I have a strong opinion on the 2300 days and only a tentative opinion on the 1290 and 1335 days. I will wait to see if what you expound...

Greetings again Stream, Much invective but no Biblical substance. Kind regards Trevor

Greetings Stream, Ezekiel 38 describes the invasion of the Land of Israel by the King from the North, and I understand this confederacy to be headed up by Russia. The opposition to this invasion seems to be ineffective. Yes, you seem to own what you claim concerning others. America could well...

Greetings again Matthias, And yet Robert E. Lee was thoroughly immersed in the American Civil War, while a few faithful refused to blow the brains out of their fellow brethren in the north or south and were granted conscientious objection status. The front page of the regional newspaper...
