What is your best argument for the existence of God?

What is even stronger is "where did the universe come from in the first place." Skeptics have and will always have an impossible task to explain the creation of the universe. For example, some identify the debate between Evolution and Creation. But Evolution is the slight, mindless...

Born again believers are NOT appointed to God's wrath ( the great tribulation )

I see no reason to limit the wrath of God to the second half of the Tribulation. Jesus calls the first half of the tribulation affliction/persecution (thilpsis, Greek word for 'tribulation') in Matt 24.9, which occurs in the first 3 1/2 years. The second half will be an intensive tribulation...

What is your best argument for the existence of God?

I would definitely disagree with this. The knowledge of God's existence is innate to all people. We start with the knowledge of God, and we end with the knowledge of God. Hence, we are without excuse. The one who denies the existence of God is a fool.

What is your best argument for the existence of God?

Intuition is simply knowing something without the need for reasoning, it is an innate truth known without conscience effort. It is the highest form of knowledge, since it can't be defeated by argumentation. For example, an atheist wanted to argue with me about whether God was real, or was God...

What is your best argument for the existence of God?

Paul's argument in Rom 1 is the best argument I have seen for God's existence. Paul tells us that all people have an intuitive knowledge of the existence of God. There is no person that genuinely does not know God exists. They can deny it publicly but all people know that God's existence has...

    When did Jesus die?

The dates used in this post are to be understood as approximates. To start with the conclusion, Jesus was crucified on April 3, 33 AD. This prophecy has a start date and an end date. The start date is in the 20th year of Artaxerxes reign, this is found in the OT Book Nehemiah. The prophecy is...

    "If" or "When"? - 1 John 1:9

This is the weirdest theology I have ever read. It is so far out in left field that I would be playing along with you if I tried to respond.

    "If" or "When"? - 1 John 1:9

The eav (if) is likely a present general condition in which the subject is distributive (if any of us...) The subjunctive is thus used because of the implicit uncertainty as to who is included in the WE. This is a third class condition.

    The Doctrines of Grace

You are far off with your understanding. Your definition above is not in anyway correct. Literal interpretation DOES allow figurative, symbolic and other methods. It is literal because that is the first method (default) it considers before any other method. When Jesus says he is the door...

scholarly response. You have convinced me.

    The Doctrines of Grace

You really need to understand what "literal" means when it comes to interpreting scripture. I take the book of Revelation literally, but I see symbolism in it also.

    The Doctrines of Grace

Just to clarify. I have already told several people on this forum that they are saying "That's just your opinion" because they want to have an opinion that is equal to everyone else. Before one gets to the opinion stage, he has to first pick an interpretive method. For example, if you take my 3...

    The Doctrines of Grace

Well you are a little off here. All the verses that talk about unbelievers' sins being paid for have no qualifier saying that there is a potential payment, or his payment must be met with confessing sins. Unless you understand this, you will not get clarity on what happen at the Cross.

    The Doctrines of Grace

Actually it is true on all accounts. I have been quoting these 3 verses to show that what I say is correct. They are: 2 Cor 5.19, 2 Pt 2.1, and 1st John 2.2. There are plenty of other verses, but these 2 are obvious.

    The Doctrines of Grace

Remember, all sins have been paid for. If a believer sins, he is disciplined in this life. Salvation is not the kind of issue that can be lost or forfeited. Your understanding of this basic truth, leads me to believe you are a babe in Christ. That is not intended to be an insult; you have to...

    The Doctrines of Grace

I am dumbfounded how you understood me such that this post need be written.

    The Doctrines of Grace

While we are in fellowship (all known sins confessed), we are not able to sin (we are in fellowship with Christ). But James tells us that we sin when we are lured out of our protected position in Christ (sanctification, not justification), exit our temporary fellowship, and then, and only then...

    The Doctrines of Grace

And again, forgiveness of sins deals only in his life. Just so you understand, this judgment is given to believers (hence "Father"). This was provided at the Cross, with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. Since you haven't responded to some of the verses I cited, I will provide them for...

    The Doctrines of Grace

Like I said, sins only deal with this life on earth. This promise was given to the Apostles exclusively. Again, sins only deal with this life. BTW, this is a promise to believers only. The confessing sins is not given to unbelievers.
