@Grailhunter there is actually a post on here somewhere, one of our members actually gave a testimony of how the mask prevented his son from catching the virus, I should see if I can find the post.

So why would it protect the patients from coughs and sneezes but not covid?

Actually this is one of the best prevention measures, stay away from the cities, don't go to crowded places and the chances of catching Covid go down like 99.9%. And no there's no need to google that one. :p

Well there's currently no known covid cases in our local area either, it's called small country towns with low populations, heaps of trees, creeks, mountains, and they are a blessing to live in during these times. ;) If masks didn't work, then the majority of well educated doctors and nurses...

So if you think it's made up, what's the aim? What are they trying to achieve?

Well I believe common sense says a mask acts like a barrier of protection, say if you don't have a mask on, then you don't have a barrier in front of your mouth and nose, I can see how a mask can potentially block a virus from landing in your mouth or nose, while it's not a 100% prevention...

Yeah it's definitely a good added layer of protection having the vaccine. I saw it decreases the chance of being severely ill with covid by 90%.

So what are the chances of the virus landing on the surface of the mask, compared to going through the other side? I would think the chances are slim of the virus making its way through the small tiny weaves of a mask. And why are a vast majority medical professionals encouraging mask wearing...

Nurses wear masks when treating the sick to protect themselves. Polishers and painters wear them to protect their respiratory system Masks have been around for a long time, it's a piece of PPE, personal protective equipment, it's a part of OH & S and it has been well proven to work.

And mask wearing has been researched and scientifically proven and medically proven to help reduce the spread of covid-19.

It's basic common sense? Right? When you have a cold you can reduce spreading your germs by covering your nose when you sneeze, washing your hands after you sneeze and staying away from others. When someone unknowingly has covid, they can reduce the spread of the virus by covering their nose...

Right now Western Australia and Tasmania are the best states to be and probably the best states in the world right now. Both states haven't recorded a case of covid in almost a month. Northern Territory and South Australia have also been pretty good places to be in with minimal cases and...

I think the other week, they said that there will be some exemptions for people with medical reasons of not taking the vaccine. Hopefully.
