The fine folks who run the site aren't the owners. Flout the rules at your own risk. Just sayin'. .

    Is God Moral?

I understand that one definition of faith is "the substance of things hoped for" but I've always had more of a legal sense of the word "proof" being more conclusive than "evidence." But, then, I don't wish to descend very far into semantics. Beware of neo-Gnosticism. :r.u.n: .

    Is God Moral?

"Provable" is tough talk, my friend. In the end, it precludes faith. What you seem to be claiming is what amounts to solving the problem of evil full stop. Human grasp of that, while capable of improvement beyond what most would dare hope, is nevertheless finite. .

And you're nicer to me than I deserve, Sis. ;) .

    Is God Moral?

I don't agree with his execution, but he's right—you're stirring a suspended pot to get reactions. You may not really mean any harm but these kinds of threads tend to foster more antagonism than profitable discussion. I haven't bothered to read past the post I'm responding to, so I don't know...

    REST for God's People!

Sunday is conspicuously absent from this post. Human beings and animals have to get an inordinate amount of rest every 7 days. The scientific jury is in on that. Both the Russians and the French tried to improve on that and they were unqualified disasters. Pretending that Sunday is a period of...

Is it okay to eat pork?

Agreed I'm pretty sure that's not all it was designed for. I don't think so, Ron. Lot of words but righteousness is by faith and is shown by our fruit "against which there is no law." (Circumcision?) .

    REST for God's People!

I'm pretty sure that two verses don't make a doctrine—especially one that nullifies a divine command. And not agreeing with your interpretation that "priesthood law" and the Ten Commandments are the same thing does not constitute non-acceptance of Scripture. How did you get so confused? You...

Jesus And The Apostles Observed The Sabbath Day

Romans 11 17And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and [d]fatness of the olive tree, 18do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the...

Jesus And The Apostles Observed The Sabbath Day

That's very clever. And, as always, very amusing to you. Reject every other verse in Hebrews much? Nice custom job/baloney defense for Adventist-trashing. Nobody said "you're attacking me." The point was that you're just making up for a lack of sound exegesis by targeting a Sabbatarian...

    REST for God's People!

Honestly, I don't know what's worse here: The eisegesis: Or the absolute double-dealing: You can't have it both ways. There can't be a spiritual Sabbath in wholesale lieu of a weekly Sabbath and then a sneaking in of a weekly Resurrection "sabbath" through the back door. .

Jesus And The Apostles Observed The Sabbath Day

Ad hominem much? What about the multitudes of Christian Sabbath-keepers that don't belong to "my religion?" What you're glaringly dancing around here is that the New Covenant is a very specific concept tied to a promise that you're substituting with the standard ambiguous abracadabra that's...

    REST for God's People!

The word literally means to "cease" and the writer of the Psalms knew the difference between the commandment to rest weekly and the concept of will surrendering and being at peace and calm in the LORD. So did/does Christ. I don't really mean to be argumentative but this thread was started for...

It sure is, but you have managed to do so quite handily. Sabbath Objection - Argument From Silence .

Jesus And The Apostles Observed The Sabbath Day

I don't think so. It's an erroneous article that has been thoroughly debunked by many articles that you specifically asked for but won't/can't refute, beginning —HERE—. .

    REST for God's People!

I've yet to see a description of the New Covenant from you at all—just a lot of sophistry and Sabbath hating. .

    REST for God's People!

I'm afraid that God's weekly rest for His people is not only prescribed, but commanded from a heart of infinite love that knows our deepest needs. 3ABN Now - "The Biology of Sabbath" - Eddie Ramirez, M.D. .
