    Should I buy a sword?

Again, that’s a Strawman. Fact is, Jesus told his followers to arm themselves. That implies using physical violence as needed. And then there is Revelation, where Jesus kills more people than ever in history by violently throwing people into the Lake of Fire.

    Should I buy a sword?

Tuesday is an example of an unnecessary qualifier designed to create a Strawman. The Bible is filled with violence and even God commanding it. Because that doesn’t support your position, you invoke only a portion of the Bible that doesn’t support your opponents position. That is, NT text only...

    Should I buy a sword?

You’re taking God’s word out of context. No one is denying there is a spiritual warfare. The overly-spiritualized deny there is a need to defend Christian nations with guns. The Bible doesn’t say we fight against tooth decay. Yet, most Christians today brush their teeth. The Bible contains...

    Should I buy a sword?

On a Tuesday … what a Strawman attempt to deny the violent history of the Bible.

    Should I buy a sword?

No, we are in a war that is fought with guns AND one that isn’t.

    Why is it blasphemy?

Who else but the Messiah should sit on the right hand of God? Not sure how it is blasphemy.

    Why is it blasphemy?

One thing I never understood is the chief priests' response to Jesus's "I am" statement in confessing he is the Messiah in Mark 14:62. How is it blasphemy for the Messiah to admit he is the Messiah?

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Negation. Total denial of practical application of Scripture. Fiercely anti-Scriptural. Pathetic.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Not an answer to my question. Doesn't surprise me as a coward cannot bear scrutiny. We agree that Jesus is the example but you ignore that Jesus' practical solution to the problem of evil is violence.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Needless death is something you enjoy? Sadistic. Pathetic. Perhaps it is you who deny the shift to a Christian nation and how that applies to the Crusades.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

@Matthias, as you ponder a response to this question, I have another that I hope you deeply consider. It has to do with balance between the SPIRITUAL and SOULFUL. The question is, why do you disregard the soulful applications of Scripture? (See specific verses and questions below). Besides...

    Dumbing it down!

That’s your categorization. Others suppose they work in ”harmony,” which is just another way of saying in practice God’s love is on one side and His wrath and fear on the other.

    Should I buy a sword?

I have car insurance AND health insurance. My agent says I don’t have to choose one over the other.

    Should I buy a sword?

Then you need to more deeply study Matthew 7:1-3 and 1 Cor 6:3.

    Dumbing it down!

The IDOL and circular reasoning is God NOT limited even though it’s axiomatic that everything that exists has limited. God’s love is limited by his justice. Denying this they make God’s love meaningless. As you pointed out, nothing says I love you like killing you, sacrificing you to the cause...

    Should I buy a sword?

Nope. Not one little bit but I almost didn’t notice you deflecting from my question. If you read Matthew 7:1-3 in modern English it is clear the text is speaking against hypocrisy, you will be judged by the same standard by which you judge. This doesn’t mean don’t judge at all.
