Yes! It is a total lie as reality is not determined by perspective. Matthew 9:24 "The girl is not dead but asleep.” Reliance on "perspective" requires the admission that from another perspective, the girl is dead. Given that "sleep" is used 54-times in the Bible to mean dead, v24 reveals a...

The Sabbath reminds me that we are a human being not a human doing. The biggest liberating revelation that I ever received is that my value does not come from what I do but who I am. And who are we? (The world often asks that question as a means to emasculate.) Image bearers of God. Genesis...

Welcome to the forum. sml A theme I've been harping on lately is the evident over-spiritualization in Christendom, where many have nothing but contempt for our soulful needs, calling it "fleshy", "worldly" or "carnal" AS IF there is something inherently sinful about us having a body that has...

I am going to struggle mightily in keeping the Sabbath this week with too much to do. Made a list this morning of 15 things to do. A1 priority is Sabbath - meaning other things need to be done another day. But can I resist the temptation to keep resting in the face of things needing to be done?

I want to differentiate between “getting married,” aka the wedding from being in a committed relationship. My wife and I were committed very quickly, inseparable after our 2nd date. We had the wedding about 3 years later.

Was the girl dead or sleeping?

Do you believe everything Jesus said was recorded in the Bible? It’s called artistic license. But you didn’t answer my question.

No. Humanizing Jesus is not demeaning him. Scripture repeatedly says he is a man, after all. 1 Timothy 2:5 For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.

Absurd! How dare a son confide in his mother?!

See the wedding at Canaan.

The hostility to popular Christian art is disturbing.
