What does it mean to be born again?

What’s the harm in motivating each other? Why can’t you say how much time you been reading so far today? I’m not bragging. But sometimes I feel the need to provide a defense for the attacks I get from this place.

What does it mean to be born again?

@mailmandan I’m up to 55 minutes of Bible reading… Pick up your Bible and read brother. Hearing God’s word is a start to ceasing from sin: “But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil...

    Can sinning can be overcome?

Do you know what love is according to scripture? You cannot base it on your deceitful feelings.

    Can sinning can be overcome?

God knows. But God’s testimony regarding Job is something we should all strive for.

What does it mean to be born again?

I’m still adding time to my Bible reading. I found this nugget while reading: “In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.”...

    Can sinning can be overcome?

Does Job override God’s judgement? “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?” (Job 1:8)

What does it mean to be born again?

And in what other setting does a person become expert in any profession who does not constantly train and work in it daily? So YOU can correctly interpret scripture without reading it often??? That’s ridiculous @mailmandan

What does it mean to be born again?

    Can sinning can be overcome?

If God had this testimony about Job, who are you and I to suggest that he did sin? “And the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?”” (Job 1:8)

    Can sinning can be overcome?

Job pre dates Ecclesiastes/Romans: “(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.” (Romans 5:13)

    Sarah

    Can sinning can be overcome?

Even after losing everything including his children: “In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.” (Job 1:22)

What does it mean to be born again?

“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” (1 John...

    Can sinning can be overcome?

It does not matter what Job thought about his sinfulness, God said the following: “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?” (Job 1:8) So to it doesn’t...

Sharing God's words with fellow Christians is pointless

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” (Genesis 3:15) I only like smashing the devil over the head with the Bible. Some, I want to believe, are just suckers for his lies and unwittingly...

A serious questions for the Jehovah's Witnesses on these threads.

And what you just said here is absolute truth! And yet people are so rabid on the topic with only vague and ambiguous passages to work from. It’s unbelievable!
