    Yes God certainly can and does place people into positions where He wants them in the church. But often a spirit of ambition can lead others to seek out such positions for themselves, without being fully equipped to deal with the demands of such positions.

    That reminds me of that verse about how instructors/teachers will receive a harsher judgement due to placing themselves in the position of instructing others in the ways of the faith.

    I used to think it was John because of John 14 and John 15. Then I thought it was Matthew for quite some time, as Matthew contains so many parables. Now I'm reading through Luke and think it could very well be Luke! Mark is pretty short so I never considered it my favorite. What do you think...

    If a person is reincarnated then it can be said that they have resurrected. They were alive, then died, then came to life. That's what resurrection is by definition.
