Who or What is Babylon the Great? How do God’s people come to be in her?

Proving anything relating to this stuff in the face of resistance Ronald, doesn't give understanding . The point of the prophecies is so God's people can track events for their encouragement. Understand as it is intended and encouragement and hope are underpinned. They are not given so that we...

Revelation 16:19 The great city was divided into 3 parts...

These things are metaphor David. It is HOW we understand the metaphors that matters. Just as you use metaphors in your every day speech to convey ideas, ideas from the basic to the complex, so the scripture does also. Of course not every utterance is metaphor.

Ohhh Keraz, Your use of the term 'proper biblical support' is a straw man. Why?, because anyone who cobbles scriptures in any context will and does claim 'proper biblical support'. They, as do you, take things out of their intended context, then proudly parade their structure and call it...

Who or What is Babylon the Great? How do God’s people come to be in her?

1 -2. Those who peddle Babylon's ideology (individuals and systems) 3. A literary device to tell you the ideology/ system permeates everything. 4. 'Religions' merchants (peddlers) get fat (metaphor) .....one example, look at the Vatican (that system) Fat on what? the bones of the people from...

Who or What is Babylon the Great? How do God’s people come to be in her?

'The Battle' if we might name it that, is between the ideology of Satan and those under his persuasion and those who are aligned with God and his character. 'Babylon' is the metaphor used for the former and 'Jerusalem' for the later. It is an ideological battle spilling over into physical...

Revelation 16:19 The great city was divided into 3 parts...

David, do you have an unbroken connection between what you are saying and the Gospel Message? I ask because Revelation is the revealing of Jesus Christ. It tells us this at the outset of the book. The conflicts are to do with the ideology of Satan and the revealing of God in Jesus (the Gospel)...

Revelation 16:19 The great city was divided into 3 parts...

Understand the use of metaphor, understand the use of literary devices and one gets closer to the point Misunderstand these 'devices' and one can make apples out of pig poo....and spin off in any imagined direction one can conjure. Look at the pagan religions as an example. Every corner of the...

Revelation 16:19 The great city was divided into 3 parts...

No hey?....I would say you don't know how to identify her. ....further, if identification is not known then by default the mark on the head and hand is in place, even the right hand ....and will not be recognised. That's why many have it....particularly the religious. Why the 'religious' in...

Revelation 16:19 The great city was divided into 3 parts...

If the principle is not clearly understood, all the thrashing and bashing about the wrongness of this one or that one only becomes and ego trip under the banner of being honourable. Babylon is renowned for 'blame'

including SDA .....but why zoom in on any particular group or individual if one hasn't got sorted out what presenting God well encompasses?

Revelation 16:19 The great city was divided into 3 parts...

Babylon is the metaphor for misrepresenting God while making out to represent God. Think about it! It embraces the whole religious world....buddhist, baptist, jew so to speak. Every religion claims overtly or covertly to represent God. Ultimately it amounts to a misrepresentation.....and God's...

Revelation 16:19 The great city was divided into 3 parts...

Babylon = misrepresentation of God. This misrepresentation is the big lie (s) it has surrounded itself with and seduced the whole world. Exposure will bring it undone. A system collapses when either it's adherents no longer support it and or, it is revealed as a fraud. The scripture uses...

Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life in you....Jesus. No decoding needed? Jesus blood cleanses from sin. No decoding needed? Ok, I'll leave it with you!

You are the one doing the cobbling...not the scripture. Yet you use the scripture as if it approves your cobbling. You have tricked yourself.
