How to never "depart" from God

“I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:23) And the born again can commit iniquity if he wilfully chooses to because we are warned: “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.” (Romans 6:12)

What Christian is not doing the works of the flesh?

“…the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:18) “Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin...

"And I Will Profess Unto Them, I Never Knew...Who, Exactly?"

Bad fruit from bad doctrine. I only talk about the scriptures that expose your lunacy. That’s right! Something you haven’t done: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16) Your constant railing...

"And I Will Profess Unto Them, I Never Knew...Who, Exactly?"

:IDK: Jesus said: “Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.” (Luke 7:50) “…thy faith hath saved thee.” (Luke 18:42) Paul: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8)

"And I Will Profess Unto Them, I Never Knew...Who, Exactly?"

This is a perversion of: “Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1 Peter 1:5) But here’s the full teaching attached to this passage: “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because...

What Christian is not doing the works of the flesh?

I’m the one you want to hear from (sorry if this sounds boastful - it’s not intentional). Do these things: Read the Bible frequently and completely. Meditate on the word of God when not reading it. Keep your thoughts on God as often as possible. Be ready to suffer wrong doing at any moment...

    Cycle

I’m assuming you mean a motorcycle? Or a bicycle? In any case, may the Lord hear and grant your petitions in Jesus’ name.

    The Divine Exchange

@Behold once said that just reading the Bible wouldn’t do one any good. He is a Paul-onlyist as well. He has said some very unbiblical things also. He also said that a born again’s sins aren’t considered sins in God’s eyes, just “works of the flesh”. That’s absolute unbiblical nonsense.

Born Again = Not a Sinner

Yes. He cannot sin. And in light of all scripture this obviously means that he cannot sin as long as he sows to the Spirit (Galatians 6:8), he continues in God’s goodness (Romans 11:22), grounded and settled in the faith (Colossians 1:23) keeping Christ’s commandments (John 14:21). And if he...

Born Again = Not a Sinner

Correct. So if he does sin, it will be a willful act on his part. Because he can longer hide under the umbrella of sin having dominion over him.

Born Again = Not a Sinner

But You said: The text says: “In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ” (Colossians 2:11) And that’s all well and good. But: “…Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not...

Born Again = Not a Sinner

No it wasn’t. You’re ADDING to scripture: “In whom also ye SPIRIT are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:” (Colossians 2:11)

Born Again = Not a Sinner

:Laughingoutloud: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9) Good point. But the “we” in Hebrews 10:26-29 were blood sanctified saints as the text says. John also said “he” here, not “we”: “…he cannot...
