God's Desire is that All Men be Saved!

--man is not born with a sinful, totally depraved nature. Genesis 4:7 Cain had the ability to do well or not do well...his choice. Abel chose to do well Hebrews 11:4 therefore was righteous before God. --Eph 2:1 "And you did he make alive, when ye were dead through your trespasses and sins,"...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Had Abraham NOT been obedient he would not have been justified. It was because hos faith included obedience that he was justified. His obedience before God is why God justified him. What Abraham did before man was not why he was justified. No, it doesn't. Again If Romans 4:5 or Eph 2:9...

God's Desire is that All Men be Saved!

Matthew 23:37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!" Jesus would but the Jews would not. If these Jews...

    Judaism or Christianity?

Just a remnant were saved, Romans 9:27; Romans 11:4-5. God's election of fleshly Israel was not an unconditional guarantee of their salvation. Those chosen of God they still had to obey God to be saved and just a remnant obeyed. Romans 11:4-5 "But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

John 6:27-29 also proves that belief is a work God has given man to do: 1) Jesus clearly says to WORK for the food that endures unto everlasting life. No work = no everlasting life. 2) the people then ask Jesus what is this work is they are to do "What shall we do, that we might work the works...

God's Desire is that All Men be Saved!

1 Timothy 2:4 shows God's preceptive will in what God desires, wishes of man. God has made a pathway to salvation available to man through Christ and therefore it is God's desire, wish that all men take that pathway of salvation. Yet all men will not take that pathway to salvation through...

    Judaism or Christianity?

The ones who God foreknew per Romans 11:2 refers to the group Christian for the context clearly shows that God did cast aside and broke off fleshly Israel. Paul was a fleshly Jew himself but not cast off. Why? He obeyed and became a Christian, those whom God foreknew (Romans 8:29). God...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Faith is dead without the obedient works. The Bible ties faith and obedience so closely together that faith is a form of obedience. Mark 2:5 Jesus saw their faith and what Jesus saw that is called faith is the works the men did in removing the roof and lowering the sick man down to Him...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

There is no verse that says faith is just an attitude and nothing more. Belief is obedience, an obedient work. Romans 5:1----------------------faith>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>justifies James 2:24----------------------works>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>justifies Since there is but one way to be saved/justified then...

    Judaism or Christianity?

The 'new' covenant (Jeremiah 31:31) is distinct from the old (first) covenant of Moses (Jeremiah 31:32 cf Hebrews 8:7). If the OT had been faultless, then no need for a new one. Under this new covenant there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile. All privileges the Jews had under the old...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Again, faith/belief is a form of obedience. There is no example in the Bible of a person who continued in disobedience but saved anyway. People must first obey then saved. THis is why the Bible says faith alone does not justify.

    Judaism or Christianity?

ADDENDUM: John 14:21 "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." John 15:23 "He that hateth me hateth my Father also." John 3:18 "He that believeth on him is...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

--Faith/belief is obedience. Faith only does not justify. --The fact remains no case in the Bible of God saving anyone who continued in disobedience/rebellion to His will.

    Judaism or Christianity?

If such were the case then Christ died in vain, the gospel is useless. No need for Jews to hear the gospel and be remitted of their sin Acts 2. No need for Paul to desire the Jews be saved (Romans 10:1) when they cannot be lost. The rich young ruler saved anyway though he did not have...

    Judaism or Christianity?

Your position is a Jew can be a believer in God but not a believer in Christ and still be a people of God and still be saved apart from Christ and His gospel?

    Judaism or Christianity?

ADDENDUM: Christ left earth some 2000 years ago leaving behind His NT gospel as the way of salvation for man Romans 1:16. Since Christ left earth some 2000 years ago until today, there have been millions (billion maybe) of "Jews" who lived and died in unbelief having rejected Christ and His...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Faith and repentance are obedience, obedience is faith and repentance. Romans 10:10----------believeth>>>>>>>>>>unto righteousness Romans 6:16-----------obedience>>>>>>>>>unto righteousness There is but one way to be saved/righteous therefore belief is a form of obedience. John 3:36 ASV "He...

    Judaism or Christianity?

Hi, "Broken off" in the context (Romans 11:17) has to do with the idea of pruning, that one is cut off from God, severed. "Casting off" (Romans 11:15) means to reject, lost, a losing. Those Jews were lost, spiritually dead due to the sin of unbelief. Paul knew they were lost and was his...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Faith and repentance are certainly obedience. Men have been commanded to believe and repent and those that do are OBEYING. One either obeys God or disobeys and faith and repentance are not disobedience but obedience. Hence obedience BEFORE salvation.

    Judaism or Christianity?

God did cast off FLESHLY Jews, Romans 11:15 is therefore not hyperbole. They were cast off for the sin of unbelief. If they were never really cast off then it could not be possible them to be "graff them in again". Romans 11:23. The word "again" shows fleshly Jews were once a branch now...
