    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

"At least the Pharisees knew better" who only saw Jesus through eyes of flesh? Yikes. They knew better than those who walk by faith not by sight? Jhn 5:37-44 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

1Co 2:13-16 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

The LORD must plant the seed.......we need to be born of His seed. That is the starting point for the Christian walk. Imperishable seed, because it is of His imperishable/eternal Spirit.......and that is what makes us spiritual/eternal, ie, of His Spirit, born of Him. Eternal life really...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Spiritual truth of scripture can't be apprehended with logic. We need the Holy Spirit and mind of Christ to grasp things of God.

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

There is no end to the wresting of scripture it seems. Except that it doesn't end well for those who do that.

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

We need to look at the whole counsel of God and to understand what HE means by everything that is written. God "IS" not a man, He is Spirit, but somehow, wonderfully, He came and dwelt in the body of a man, Christ Jesus. "A body hast though prepared for me."

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Jesus said ye must be born again to enter the kingdom of heaven. Its purpose is to save our souls unto eternal life. Just in my own words, but mental assent of our natural mind is not sufficient for eternal life, we need to have received Christ (His Spirit) into our heart/spirit. In this way...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

I dont know if I'm understanding your point or not, but He was begotten of God not of man........God was His father, Jesus was not conceived in the human way....He had no earthly father. Yes scripture states repeatedly that Jesus is a man, but it also states repeatedly that He was and is God...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

I like the nailing Jello to the wall analogy, lol. Scripture says Christ is both son of man and son of God. We need to just accept that instead of trying to pit scripture against scripture,....whether or not we understand and can nail down how this can be. The bible says this is a great...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Sister one can often discern when someone is not spiritually minded by the things they say and their approach to scripture. It's not an accusation or insult to say or think that someone needs to be born again and receive the Holy Spirit, it is more like a hope and suggestion for them to seek...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

The natural man cannot perceive the things of God. And the carnal mind is enmity against God. If you haven't been born again I don't expect you to understand that. Man's logic can't lead him into all truth, we need the Holy Spirit for that. He illuminates the scriptures to our mind.

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Oh yes there is plenty in scripture that speaks to this, but you need eyes to see it.

    Theosis vs Christlikeness

Unfortunately you don't instruct......you attack and obfuscate and this is just another example. There is no attempt here to bring any clarity, just sticking with your script. You don't believe the cross brings forgiveness, yet those verses say otherwise, in both Greek and in English. And...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

It's like where Jesus was baptized not because He Himself needed to be, having never sinned, but in order to fulfill all righteousness.

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

You were over-analyzing...there is only one Spirit. But I was just responding to where you called his post "words of discouragement and despair" and could not see why it would cause discouragement or despair unless one was being convicted by it. People think the truth is all goodness and light...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Cant' say if I understand perfectly and completely, and I encourage you to bring your questions to the Lord, but I believe for one thing the point of that (and His whole earthly life) was to face down and confront the devil point blank in order to overcome/conquer him in obedience to the Father...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Amen, and they are all one...if we have seen Jesus we have seen the Father.
  18. L

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Think and meditate on it prayerfully....seek the Lord for understanding, we cant' do this without Him.

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Why are you discouraged and despairing at what Amigo said? Might it be conviction you are feeling? Salt does have a sting to it where it needs to do its work of purifying and cleansing. Sound doctrine often needs to be "endured", it doesn't always make us feel good.

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Only His body was dead, not His eternal spirit. God raising Jesus from the dead, and Jesus having power to take it up again........means Jesus is/was God. It appears He was even commanded by the Father to both lay down His life as well as to take it up again. Perfectly submitted to the Father...
