    Christ's Birth - Sept. 11, 3 BC

Yes ... but that Hebrew translation was not what you first quoted! And yes the Jews know the scriptures but are still blind to Jesus and so all Messianic prophecies are not neccesarily misinterpreted, they just don't make the connection with Jesus as being the fulfillment of them. So as you can...

    Christ's Birth - Sept. 11, 3 BC

Don't you remember the reasin why Mary and Joseph stayed in the manger? Every room was full. Again, not astrologers, maybe not even astonomers. First of all, are you a Jehovah Witness. If so, that would explain your and hostility towards the Nativity scene with the Magi. JW'S are notorious for...

    Christ's Birth - Sept. 11, 3 BC

Is that the New World Translation? In Exodus 3:14, God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” That was an introduction to Who God was to be filled in at a later time when...

    Christ's Birth - Sept. 11, 3 BC

These Magi came from the east hundreds of miles away. The star led them to a general area of Jersusalem/ Bethlehem. After a long travel typically one would go to the bigger to to get refreshed, cleaned up, take a bath and be presentable for the visit. They asked "where is He", still not sure...

    Christ's Birth - Sept. 11, 3 BC

I am familiar with the 4BC date that Josephus attached Herod's death to, a particular lunar eclipse in 4BC. However there was a more likely eclipse on Dec. 29, 1BC. It was even more visible than the one in 4BC. Joseph although brilliant, might have been in error. Herod’s Death, Jesus’ Birth and...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Well then Pinocchio, bla, bla , bla back at ya.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Supreme power and authority could just let the world unravel if He didn't control it. He ordains both good and evil for a purpose, to implement His plan. You have no idea how many times He has pulled you out of harms way. Our salvation came to being because He orchestrated a series of events and...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

I am NOT a Calvinist. So now you are misrepresenting my view as if I was a Calvinist.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

You don't know what you are talking about. Ferris Bueller, I think you should take another day off! I like you though, read a lot of your posts in the past and usually agree with you. You are over your head on this one.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

There it is again, you are contradicting yourself ..." He does'nt know who will participate, and He does know"

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Because you apparently do not understand what sovereignty means. It means He is in control, not of puppets. Predestination and God's sovereignty is advanced theology - not everyone gets it.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Don't get slippery now. This what you said: "The plan is predetermined, not who participates in it." >> Predestination involves who participates in it, the appointed and itbers who asaiat in that process Then you said: "Don't confuse that with God who, in his foreknowledge, knows ahead of time...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

What? So you are saying God doesn't know who will be saved or who He will use to act His plan out? He does, otherwise His plan is incomplete, not perfect. That falls under God's omniscience and sovereignty. Your name was written in the Book of Life before the foundation of the world. It is...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

I guess you don't really grasp the concept of predestination. It is obvious in your responses. It's okay. Nice talking to you. See you in our predestined home in heaven at the predestined time when the predestined last trumpet blows! ;)

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Okay, I find it also absurd that TULIP pits God and salvation in a nice neat box. Personally,,I can argue against most points in TULIP, still predestination is ordained. Before the prophets were born God knew them. He had a plan for their lives - otherwise prophecy could never be fulfilled...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

PREDESTINATION Isaiah 45:12-13 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Listen, I am not a Calvinist, but predestination is a key theological doctrine. We are chosen, elected to be conformed to Christ, saved, NOT predestined to do everything. He gives us talents, intelligence, but it is up to us if we want to play guitar of clarinet, or to study, do well in school...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Wow, I guess both of us pushed the wrong buttons? It seems there is a deep hatred for Calvinism and well I guess I turned this into an interrogation or sorts... and they both brought out your dark side ... thought it was easy to be good? It's okay, all the people around you have their approval...

    Christ's Birth - Sept. 11, 3 BC

All gospels state that it was dawn that the women were on there way. Dawn is about 25 minutes. Mayne that had a longer what but certainly arrived just arrive sunrise and minutes from the Reaaurection When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

No, not like you critized the fragmented and unified 30k Protestant denominations! I am a Protestant who considers ALL believers in Christ as brothers and sisters in the BODY. There it is again, going off on a tangent, jumping to conclusions, assuming and you are wrong. So it sounds like you...
