In the past I was a logistics co-ordinator responsible for putting the Order of Service together and leading the Sunday morning meetings of a congregation I was part of for quite a few years. I also trained interns to do this, but I was always aware that it was an arbitrary call that depended on...

Well, Rudometkin, Adam and Eve's knowledge of good and evil was experiential. They disobeyed God and experienced knowledge of moral failure, becoming aware of something God didn't want them to experience but foreknew as inevitable. The Bible links knowledge and wisdom, and further identifies...

No. This Psalm and its quoting in Acts speaks of hell existing simultaneously with this temporal existence. Psa 16:10 For you will not leave my soul in hell; neither will you suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Act 2:22-27 You men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man...

It wasn't called just the Tree of Knowledge but the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, and prior to eating of it Adam and Eve did not have knowledge of good and evil. Their act of disobedience gave them that experiential knowledge in that they knew they had done what they weren't supposed...

Seduction Warning: Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 2Pe 2:1-3 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as...

So the Parable of the Sower fits that criteria as per Isaiah 55:11, and the truth it expounds is not void but extremely edifying and illuminating to those who are smacked around the head by it and then pricked in their heart to repent of being wayside hearers, stony ground hearers, or thorny...

Things might start off well with new Christians being really keen to follow Christ and His teachings, but the three Scriptural scenarios given in the Parable of the Sower illustrate the potential for that keenness to fade or cease altogether. The Word of God is snatched away by Satan. The Word...

Timothy and Epaphroditus Philippians 19 Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered when I learn how you are doing. 20 I have nobody else like him who will genuinely care for your needs. 21 For all the others look after their own interests, not those of...

Hi Alvertsky. This dragon is real, and dangerous . . . like the metaphorical one in Scripture.

When I want some fun, I scare up a pun. When I have spare time, I harpoon a rhyme. If I need a rest I have the right to remain silent. If I write a piece there's no need to be violent. Tra la la tra la lee, how happy I'll be, Quoting pun after pun while I bask in the sun. Tra la la tra la lee...

Based on the prophecies to OT Israel warning of "the spoiler" that God was sending to punish them I would say when time's up for planet earth and its population it will be according to God's timetable and there will be absolutely nothing mankind can do to stop all the catastrophes foretold in...

There's no Roman Catholic Church then.

Trouble is many members of said church are not saved. However, the denominational tags fall off those who go up, and burn off those who go down. Eph 4:11-16 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; (12) For the perfecting of the...

Well I'm being straight with you, mjr. This is a serious situation. If Christianity in general is being maligned by Christians, why in the world would the world be interested in it? Here's my position: 1Jn 5:4-5 For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that...

Seems like a pretty good offer which you are repeating because Christianity has influenced you, so I suggest that in actual fact you are living proof that Christianity still has MUCH to offer, and I also suggest you change your stance that Christianity is slacking. Institutional denominational...
