Ultimately, I believe, the source of the problem is the need for God. All of the other things we could mention would be handled if everyone was really taking hold of Him. Oklahoma may still be considered as a part of the Bible Belt, but it also as a whole seems to be sliding away from Him.

Is all of this, these questions that is, why a gift of tongues unknown to men is sometimes given to communicate with God? Otherwise, we would not and/or could not even know what to say or what to ask when desiring to talk with Him...

On the contrary, I see where one city in Oklahoma wants to pass a law limit where the homeless are able to remain when as the proponents say it interferes with or diminishes their business income.

And for Christmas, we would actually have an on stage play with students in the roles of Mary and Joseph. That was in public schools. My own experience was similar. No one stopped anyone from smoking off campus.

Actually, while many [probably most] church groups have filed for status with the IRS as non-profit organizations under 501(c)(3) so as to be exempt from taxation, there are at least a few that have not. If they have not so filed, they are subject to taxes like any business under the IRC...
