    Cults

Of course, deciding what are "the major doctrines" is where a whole lot of divisions occur. Lots of denominations: Are all of them, which differ from mine, cults? [Note that I do not personally belong to any group anymore. Can I be in a cult of one person?]

Which, if they were to observe us today, would include all of us. Hmm?

    Cults

This leaves it very open to interpretation, but considering the ways of so many men perhaps that is to be expected.

And what is a cult? Many have arbitrarily decided that certain groups are cults simply because someone or some group has said so...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Indeed, some, no all, people know less than all there is to know about God, yet, if they continue to humble themselves before Him, seeking Him and His kingdom first...? This humble seeking is what God is seeing and which, I believe, pleases God: Mt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God...

Theistic Agnosticism - The honesty to admit we don't know everything

Indeed, but we do need to love the Truth, God's Truth, even though we not know it all like He does: 2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2th 2:11 And for this cause God shall...

    Coping With Death

Wise words my friend, but the number who are able to hear seems to be in decline from what I see in the world around me. Of course, I do not get out much anymore. I went with my wife today to Hobby Lobby and just wanted to look around while she picked up a few things. Alas, they had no chairs...

There is no spiritual gift called "the gift of tongues".

Not as long ago as you might believe. They may have decreased in frequency, but if they have, that is because of men leading themselves instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to lead. Am 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread...

There is no spiritual gift called "the gift of tongues".

The decline on our part was in that we had to stop attending several years ago due to age and declining health. I guess that was true in a lot of places. That controlled speaker situation is a major Spirit quencher. For many years where we attended the floor was open. Any time a person was...

There is no spiritual gift called "the gift of tongues".

I for one have never addressed a whole congregation in tongues... but I do speak to God daily in a personal prayer language which He gave to me. My wife on the other hand was given the gift of conveying messages in tongues to the congregation. When she has done so there has always been an...

What is unbelievable about the Bible

Who decided what "deserved" to be logged? No man certainly... although God certainly used man in the process. Why was it do we suppose that God believed we "deserved" to have anything written? God chose His Way. Could any one of us or even all of us do it better? Why do we insist on inserting...

Was Bible Possession banned by the Catholic Church

1co 13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Faith perhaps does not produce knowledge, but when our faith in finally finished, what do we have? Heb 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set...
