Fifteen verses for protecting a sacred place..................................................!!! Php 3:7-21 (7) But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. (8) Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for...

1Jn 3:1-3 (1) Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not. (2) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall...

Mat 24:29-31 (29) Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: (30) And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then...

Rev 1:7 (7) Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

1Th 4:14-18 (14) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. (15) For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. (16)...

1Co 15:50-53 (50) Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption. (51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, (52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last...

The Omnipresence Of God who is not bound by time and space: Isa 57:15 For thus says the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the...

Hi amadeus, The Bible clearly speaks about an event that brings this current age to an end. This event is the return of Christ. There are too many references to post but here are some. If you have any more questions you can't get answers to by searching (googling) online I can further assist. I...

Agreed, thanks for your edifying remarks.

Hi Taken, I believe the New Testament refers to all who have a saving faith in Christ as saint's, as per this passage. 1Co 1:1-2 (1) Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, (2) Unto the ekklesia of God which is at Corinth, to them that...

I have friend who also believes the first Buddha, Siddhārtha Gautama, may well be resurrected to eternal life in heaven with Christ, not because of any supposed after-death conversion, but based on these words from Peter: Acts 10:34-35 (34) Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I...

Incorrect. Ephesians is addressed to the saints at Ephesus. The man of sin/that Wicked/the false prophet/second beast from the earth will not deceive the elect but all others will be under the delusion that he is to be worshipped as God when his regime apears to bring unity the world. Eph 1:1...

I believe the Lord has ensured that His bride will be sanctified and cleansed...else His death, resurrection, and ascension would be in vain. Eph 5:25-27 (25) Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; (26) That he might sanctify and cleanse it...

Yes, a well written post, hidude. I find the following verse useful as an instruction on how to worship as a servant of Jesus Christ. Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is...

You might get STONED for your belief, Markseasigh.

Interesting topic. John Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible has this to say: "Keys are the ensigns of treasurers, and of stewards, and such the ministers of the Gospel are; they have the rich treasure of the word under their care, put into their earthen vessels to open and lay before others...

Dare I ask for an apostrophe: "It is the primary source for Christians' beliefs..." Alternatively you could write: "It is the primary source for Christian beliefs..." A good enough statement in all. Well done.

John 15:5 " I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing." I must say I have found this thread most uplifting. Thanks to you all for sharing these special verses.

In response to arguments by those who hold Mary in such veneration, it is better if you follow after her instruction to the servants in John 2:5. John 2:1-5 (1) And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: (2) And both Jesus was called, and...

The Bible Study Group I attend is not very strict on what version of "Bible" members use. Since some people get quite offended if their use of a suspect publication is condemned outright, I leave it to the individual to use the one they are comfortable with, but I will tell someone that they are...
