    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

I have to go out so don't have time to reply to everything right now........I don't know if I'm misunderstanding but are you denying the foundation of faith in Christ here? It's as though some people who believe in a "higher walk" or "theosis" despise the day of small beginnings when those...

The world has been “made right” in front of God.

What does it mean to perish? That is the opposite of eternal life and immortality. I think it means this, where Jesus said we are to fear Him who can destroy both body and soul in hell......."hell" being the lake of fire in the end, where those outside the kingdom are cast...? Death....the...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

Reading the scripture on that, it seems it was because some were treating it as a common thing.....just a free meal to greedily satiate physical hunger....rather than as something ordained by the Lord and therefore holy. Jesus said except we eat his body and drink His blood we would have no...

The world has been “made right” in front of God.

Justification is by faith, not apart from it. And salvation is eternal life which is for those who believe in Christ...as opposed to perishing. "that whosoever believes in Him will have eternal life". What does it mean to be "outside" the kingdom? That is condemnation (Rev 22:15 For without...

GNOSTICISM (from Greek word gnosis, which means "knowledge," cf. I Tim. 6:20)

Very much with God's amazing Help brother, because I need it. Lord bless and refresh you!

GNOSTICISM (from Greek word gnosis, which means "knowledge," cf. I Tim. 6:20)

ok, that is quite a big subject I think and hope it doesn't take us too far off topic. I know that is the definition of that Greek word that you gave....but it is spiritual maturity and completeness/wholeness that we are after is it not? And the scripture says "be ye perfect as your heavenly...

GNOSTICISM (from Greek word gnosis, which means "knowledge," cf. I Tim. 6:20)

Amen. Knowledge that tries to justify the flesh and all that it is prone to isn't truth.

    The Coming One World Government

I see nothing wrong with casting a vote ordinarily, but when Christian souls and churches are getting all wound up and entangled with "civil affairs" that is a big problem when the scripture says we are not to. And God told the Israelites not to fight when He sent the Babylonians upon them as...

GNOSTICISM (from Greek word gnosis, which means "knowledge," cf. I Tim. 6:20)

I understand perfection in the biblical sense to mean being of the Spirit, and in the Spirit....as opposed to the flesh. Paul referred to "you who are spiritual" in one place. That is like "new" and "renewed" in scripture means to be made spiritual/of the Spirit. Like New Jerusalem is above...

GNOSTICISM (from Greek word gnosis, which means "knowledge," cf. I Tim. 6:20)

Thank you for this. I have always had trouble grasping what Gnosticism is. I wonder if "new agey" thinking within Christianity could be considered to be a form of Gnosticism, of that same spirit?

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

It is important to the topic I believe , as it seems to form some of your background theology on theosis, but I know it's a lot to hash out in writing. Anyway I will leave it there. Just maybe keep it on a back burner for now. We all have some things that need tweeking I'm sure.

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

Yes Peter erred on that.....and was duly corrected by Paul. There is no correction anywhere in scripture for all the water baptisms of people being baptized into Jesus, in His name, that were taking place in the early church.

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

It's not a mere ritual but there is power in it. If there is power in the Lord's supper such that people are dying/falling asleep because of treating it as a common thing then there is power in it period. Power to accomplish the purpose for which Jesus ordained it for believers. Which is to...

    The Coming One World Government

A communistic state insists the everyone trust the state to protect and provide in place of God. And insists on obedience and submission to it on the same level as we are to obey God. I've noticed that people infected with that spirit can get angry at you for no reason and without you saying a...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

Here Peter commanded and baptized some who had already received the Holy spirit but hadn't yet been water baptized: Act 10:44-48 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

I take your point about Jesus baptizing in the Spirit and being the minister of a new covenant in the spirit and that the coming of the Holy Spirit is what had long been promised and that it is superior to water baptism....amen. But does the Lord's supper derogate from the new covenant? Most...

    The Coming One World Government

Yes, it's all about power and control.....maybe we could say power and control is a way that seemeth right to man because they are not trusting God. The spirit of the world (devil) always insisting and seeking to control and conform every soul and kingdom to itself. Like a herd mentality, and...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

Thanks brother. We are not disputing about water baptism per se but trying to sort out what "one baptism" is being referred to in Eph 4 where it mentions one faith, one Lord, one baptism. Also, if someone has a theology that says every time "baptism" is referred to it is talking about Spirit...

    Amigo's Question and Answer Thread

I agree the term "lord" refers to a lot of people in the bible. But Lord also refers to GOD many many times and when believers in the bible refer to Jesus as Lord that is what they are implying because He wasn't just a man like those other "lords".

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

I gather you believe that whenever "baptism" is written without explicit reference to water, that it is referring to the Holy Spirit....? I think that should be looked at. Baptism refers to water baptism except two occasions when once John the Baptist referred to baptism of the Holy Spirit and...
