Again, over-spiritualized. Just because one thing is a priority does not mean other things are not important at all! If physical land and geography didn’t matter, people wouldn’t fight over it AND God would not have commanded Joshua to take land and geography in Canaan. Consider AND rather than...

The cause of the spiked blood pressure is the all too common in Christendom manifestation of IDOLATRY. Something about this post #259 has obviously got his blood pressure up. The IDOLATRY is some manmade doctrine, a doctrinal investment in the Johannine Comma! Sure, there may be a verse that...

It's IDOLATRY and it is something to behold. When Scripture says Israel it doesn't mean Israel. When Scripture says land, it means fertile soil and you better know that makes all the difference in the world. Huh? Not too much humility there @Jay Ross to claim MANY professional translators got...

The Divine Comedy was the 2nd best book I ever read.

A difference without a distinction. Not sure what you are arguing about beyond shrouding anti-semitism in linguistic analysis AS IF Jack is wrong for quoting Scripture.

Sad. What happens when two or more witnesses contradict the veracity of Johannine Comma?

So true! This is where the propaganda and TDS lead.

I know the intellectual theory. I was referring to it on an emotional level. Have you ever come to terms emotionally with Jesus sacrificing himself, not merely for you, but for your many bad choices? <sigh> It's overwhelming to me. YMMV. The only reason for the relationship between the...

Thank you Trevor for your thoughtful questions. I’m not sure of the dichotomy you’re presenting in a deep analysis of OT covenants flowing into the ministry of our Lord. My point is foundational, the beginning of such an analysis. The humility should come from blood having to be shed on...

Putting aside that there is no "Godhead" in the Bible, are all people who are called Emmanuel part of the Godhead? If not, why not? Peter is called rock but that doesn't literally mean he is a rock. I wonder how you pick and choose?

I wouldn’t get too wrapped up in any semantic differences. The first divine attribute, the eye of the camel is humility. We either rely on God or are guilty of some kind of IDOLATRY. We are grafted into God’s chosen people. That’s what this thread is about. In part, this too requires humility...

Yea, the most successful military campaign in human history is a failure because of TDS.

Free at last! Thank God almighty! I am Free at last! Sadly, many KJVO's don't acknowledge what you just did. I had a good friend for decades tell me that I have to read the KJV, like it were some sick sacrament or something. He couldn't get it through his IDOLATROUS mind that reading archaic...

LOL. Turning IDOLATRY on its head. One Ad Homenim after another. If you want to read a certain translation, allow others the same courtesy without making it seem like the trinity has been displaced with a quartney: F S HS KJV

Honoring my mother and father was ordered. ~ 3,700 years ago. Does that mean it doesn’t apply now?

How did you come to the conclusion that the word of God is being misused?

He has converted in practice, if not in theory, in self-identification.

Good question. I rotate among: CEV* NLT* VOICE ESV CJB* NSRV* Sometimes I dabble in NIV and my wife's AMP. * Already read cover to cover.

I was confused by all the blood, video evidence, eye witnesses and murdered man.

This is what I mean by over-spiritualization. The OT is filled with concrete, explicit soul-full histories of God using righteous violence to achieve justice on Earth here and now. It's not all about allegories. Jesus literally feed 1,000's and cured people's physical needs. It wasn't...
