    Apokatastasis in the Bible

They did. And they will rise up to condemn those who didn't on that day...as Jesus said. Most people never repent. The exception proves the point. Those who repent will be saved. Repentance from wickedness into righteousness...AND repentance from our power to God's (for the elect)

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

I opened that up! :) He predestined only the elect. Most people have a choice that is theirs to do what is right and to fear God. Most will only reap as they themselves have sown...and that actually also includes the elect...but on a higher level. So I am NOT a fundamentalist judgmental type...

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

How about those pesky Egyptians? Where was the Universalist bent in God then? ;)

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

Vengeance is not ours to mete out. That is God's domain. God indeed loves His enemies. He gives us many opportunities to repent. But His justice demands that the wilful sinners be condemned. Otherwise we should all indulge ourselves in this life...there is no point in learning to eschew evil. I...

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

Let's not be dogmatic by going to extremes. The Bible seemingly backs up BOTH exclusiveness AND universalism. But in each case, half the Bible has to be ignored. And there is a place for both. In the holy city, we see ONLY the elect. This is where Calvinism can work. But there are also the...

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

What opportunity. You would have to believe that some people are born without a conscience. We are ALL created in God's image. Don't react against the fundamentalists who consign everybody to hell. God saves the righteous...the weak, the poor, the meek, the suffering. God is merciful. And the...

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

But you gracious in your points. Thanks for that! :) You have a point where the elect are concerned...even the righteous. But God also hardens the hearts of some..giving them over to do evil...more and more. Not every story has a happy ending. The world is a big place. And God's judgments are...

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

Yes, the love of Christ constrains us. But this kind of discipline is towards His people. Those whom He loves He chastens and rebukes. But God goes easy on the destitute, the poor, the suffering...etc. God is far more merciful than those who claim to be "saved". So much religion.

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

People of every nation, tribe and tongue. That is a general statement...not meant to include every individual. Balance is the most difficult thing for a temporal mind to consider. People will ALWAYS go from one extreme to the other. At least until more wisdom is added in. So people will shift...

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

You are in error to think that only the elect are saved. Who will they rule over? According to the Bible the righteous. But here the many who have been indoctrinated into a religious ideology will deny that any are righteous but themselves. Can you say...Phariseeism???

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

Yes...but through the process of weeding out sin and those who love sin more than the truth. Peace and harmony will be restored. The Fall was necessary to weed out the ones who hate peace and harmony. :)

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

Yes. We will be judged against the conscience God has given to us as we are created in His image. Of course there are those whose conscience has been seared through practice of evil. And then there are those who go too far the other way and sear their consciences based on religious ideology...

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

That is to assume that God's plan did not include the fall. God uses the devil to weed out those who are not faithful to Him. He will sort us out according to our kind. Rev. 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is...

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

Not everyone is His sheep. We are given free will to obey the Lord or not. He will not force us to love Him or others. Those who refuse to participate will not be included.

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

God will restore an eternal order. On Earth as it is in heaven. Something that will last for eternity. If we are in the way of that, we will be pushed aside, so to speak. If we want to partake of God's eternal order, we best get with the agenda at the present time...while we still can. :)...

    Apokatastasis in the Bible

We need to see the balance in God's judgments in our reading of the bible. God is far more merciful than fundamentalists can grasp. But He is also holy. God so loved the world...not just the church. Understanding this is a real challenge to the dogmatic beliefs of many believers. But we can...

Why are Bible scholars leaving Christianity?

Any logical person will see through the religious charade that passes for the modern gospel. Unfortunately these people leaving the faith identify what is being propped up as Christianity to be genuine.

Why are faithless people claimed to be outside of the gates of the city in heaven?

The righteous of the nations are not permitted entry into the holy city. Only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life. Those who are only written in the Book of life will inhabit the nations...think..."the meek will inherit the earth. The righteous indeed are scarcely saved. The saints...

    The Gospel Plus Nothing

An interesting twist in interpreting the bible. However, this is not faithful to the text. Inserting words...manipulating the text...is now common practice. If people want to be affirmed in their present state...so be it.
