    "What's in your Bible?"

Just a bookmark. I don't really write in the dollar store KJV I use. I have a NKJV with pretty leather binding and a place for notes in the margins. I wrote in it maybe twice.

    Soulwinning vs Proselytizing

I think my husband and I were trying to have this discussion the other day. Better to live a great Godly life and be ready to give an answer for the hope that you have as the primary witness. I just wonder if that excludes missionary work and street evangelism. Didn't Jesus tell us to go and...

What does it mean to have a relationship with God?

I am only just finding out how to open up in prayer and Ive been a believer for years. No worries. I think it's something that we kind of don't think about sometimes. But it has been the final thing Ive needed to shut down inappropriate lust and certain brokenness Ive dealt with. Just...

Grace-Haters are incapable of honestly admitting what the (P) in Calvinism really means.

I don't think TULIP is entirely biblical. I don't think God's grace is "irresistable" and I don't think saints always persevere to the end. We can't jump from God's hand in that were ever not in His hands. But we always can choose whether to serve Him or not and we can lose our salvation...

Grace-Haters are incapable of honestly admitting what the (P) in Calvinism really means.

At first I was thinking why a rhetorical question? But I get it. I have two myself. If you could take a pill and never sin again, would you? No more lust, greed, or pride. Just righteousness. I have another one: If you could take a pill that would ensure your place in heaven without having...

Ill concede that most false teaching is not in your face in saying the exact words, "You don't have to obey God." They are going to try to make that idea more palatable with how they word it.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

If something is true, who cares about what denomination of the person it belongs to? If it lines up with the Word, then thats what I go with. I don't agree with every Pentecostal either

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Since were at 1 John, also take in 1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in Him.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Of course I have sinned. I am not Jesus. But I need not continue in that sin. What does the verse right after 1 John 1:8 say? 1 John 2:1 My little children, these things I write I unto you, that ye sin not. If, I sin, I confess. But it's if, not when. Those verses in context make for a...

I'm reading that Christ is the perfect and final sacrifice for sins but not about resting. Did you mean Hebrews 4?

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

I certainly was a sinner. But in Christ, Im a saint. I don't have to identify with being a sinner anymore. It is definitely possible to not sin. Job 1:22 22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. Psalm 1:1 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the...

What does it mean to have a relationship with God?

I love @Pearl s answer. But do you mean practically speaking? After someone is born again by turning away from sin and accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour, they can relate to God in the following ways. 1. Prayer as in asking God for things and simply talking to God like you would a friend...

Can an unwed mother be like Sarah? How so?

Fearlessness in submitting to the Lord is just as good if not better than fearlessly submitting to a husband.

How does Romans 7 display OSAS?

A large amount of people believing something does not mean it's right. What does resting in Christ's perfection mean? How do you define that?

Grace-Haters are incapable of honestly admitting what the (P) in Calvinism really means.

That's oddly specific. But what the answer was yes? Would it change your mind? And why does my sin count change the discussion at all? The side against me says we can't go even a day without sin. But we can, and I have. I can't say this past year was clean, unfortunately because of issues...

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

This is, in a nutshell, what I was taught to believe by multiple educated theologians and pastors. But think about it. If we're failing God constantly, is this not a problem? Is this what it means to be a Christian? To fail all the time? To disappoint God always and grace just covers it up...
