Do Christians sin like the unbelievers?

@mailmandan, By the way, speaking of questions that folks refuse to answer: How much sin is okay? Because "I never said sin was acceptable" isn't an answer. How much exactly? If sinless perfection is not the goal/standard, then: Exactly how much sin is okay within the standard you advocate?

Whatever you say, Dan. That's the way it's going to be, anyway. What difference does it make what I say?

Do Christians sin like the unbelievers?

There can be no question that you're either being evasive or you just don't get it. Go pray about it. You don't owe me a thing. And carrying on a conversation with you is like pulling wisdom teeth, frankly.

Do Christians sin like the unbelievers?

So... what??!!! You and others probably bullied him into it. Funny how people don't like to answer trap questions, isn't it? You know, the kind of questions that are designed to get people to appear to be saying something they don't actually believe? Have you ever had that happen to you...

Do Christians sin like the unbelievers?

I didn't address that because I don't claim that. And very few people have the nerve to do so. So why all the ruckus? It's largely just a big, fat straw man, and everyone knows it. I'll tell you why, though. Christians don't like being told that they have sin any more than worldlings do.

Still defending/justifying yourself? Why is it important for me to know how you came to God?

Do Christians sin like the unbelievers?

I thought this forum was helpful in your struggle with Calvinism. I can't understand why you keep threatening to leave. Pride is everywhere. But thanks for pointing out the splinter. :)

Do Christians sin like the unbelievers?

I have watched your activity for several years on this and another forum. Of your 2073 total posts here at CB, 91 of them are contained in the fellowship forum. That's less than 5%. You lurk in obedience vs. cheap grace threads, post hit-and-runs, and -like- the posts of those who make the...

Do Christians sin like the unbelievers?

How sad, indeed, that the words of Christ's parable teaching humility before God evoke no humbler reply from you than: "I am the publican and not the Pharisee."

Do Christians sin like the unbelievers?

No, so do you feel comfortable now that you have my imperfect performance to compare yours to?

Do Christians sin like the unbelievers?

I am not the standard. God sets the standard. Then antinomianists tear it down because they have no evidence of perfection from men. Folks who don't like the standard should get with God about it. People begin sinning before they know what sin is. Evidently, people become Christians before they...

Do Christians sin like the unbelievers?

No one ever has a problem with 'sinless perfection' as long as Jesus is the one who has to do it.

Do Christians sin like the unbelievers?

No amount of sin is acceptable to God. Can you show otherwise from Scripture? Does the Bible say "If we say we <<should>> have no sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us?" Or does it say "He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not...

    It's a scientific nightmare, that's for sure. :D

"GOD WHY HAVE YOU ABANDONED ME"

Sure, He's Jacob's ladder. I get it. It's just that the mediation model you're using is not conducive to proving oneness, because it intrinsically separates Them. A mediator is a third party in a dispute between two interests. The fact that He fills the office doesn't change the fact that it's...

"GOD WHY HAVE YOU ABANDONED ME"

No, it doesn't. This is the problem with these kinds of discussions. People will just say any misguided thing to defend their beliefs. I believe Jesus and the Father are One, because Jesus says so and He doesn't lie. But mediation inherently indicates a third party, which by your logic would...
