the lord god protect me from my errors. May the Lord God protect you from your errors as well as from making any more errors. @Holy999

Consider this: Mt 12:5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? Mt 12:6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple. Mt 12:7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have...

Yes, he was very trying for us at times... especially when he really started having health issues which interfered with what he considered his spiritual commitments. He was a very good old man and I miss him a lot. The truth for us [my wife and me] is that his death took a lot of pressure off...

That is the careful pathway, but if you are in touch with God and love His Truth, you will not be deceived on anything that matters. You do not have to listen, but it would be a good thing if you refrained from denying that God might work in ways you have not understood. I really believe that...

No apology needed. I recall how heart-broken my old pastor was when he lost his wife to cancer in 2011. My wife and I did not believe he would last a year without his partner. God used us to help him through the rough times and he continued to bless many people until his time also arrived in...

They are certainly that, but they are more than that. As our God manifests Himself to us in many ways, He speaks to us in many ways. He is not limited to the languages of men, although He does use them as well. Some people may try to impress others with the use of an unknown tongue, but by...

It may indeed be a mixed-up jungle of a jumble, but for any of us who endure with Him to the end is not the best yet to come? When I get serious with my wife about my approaching physical end, she insists that I cannot leave before she does. I, on the other hand, really want to be ready whenever...

My once best friend, now gone from this temporary life, was one of those who talked continuously. I learned to deal with him over the many years we were friends, but others would avoid all conversation with him. I too after a while would often have to find an excuse to cut it off if he kept on...

That is pretty the way I do it as well. I normally also avoid long posts. Usually I won't even read long posts especially if they do not include some type of paragraphing to make the reading easier. Even of the posts I do read, I actually seldom reply with a post. Some of them I give them a...

Ro 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God Mt 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

1co 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 1co 12:5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 1co 12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 1co 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is...

Mr 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

@Robert Pate Indeed, until the Spirit was poured out on all who would enter in... who could? Jesus opened the Way [tearing of veil], but without the Holy Spirit who was able to enter in? Ac 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. Ac...

Praying for Salome.

Well, I am with our dear sister @Pearl on this. I don't sing in tongues, but I communicate with God in a prayer language. During my morning time with God as I am reading my Bible or talking with Him, I regularly lapse into the prayer language which He gave me for the first time in 1976. When a...

Praying.

My wife is going to take an extra nap in order to be awake when the New Year begins for us in a little over nine hours from now.

I do not see in you or in most people here calling themselves, Christian, as having issues with God. There are, however, it seems, many who have little or no ability to be flexible, that is, sincerely admitting the possibility that some man may have a better grasp on a particular point than they...

And a Happy New Year to you and to all members of this forum!

Alas, I believe, there to be No contradictions in the Word of God. In the written Bible with its many versions, translations and interpretations, men do indeed find problems and differences. When they do find such things, the problems are not with God or His Word. They are really, I believe, in...
