Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

I reply to scripture and theology. A list is neither.

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

I believe the problem here is that you are not distinguishing between THE LAW and OBEYING GOD. Everyone on this thread knows that the Law was abolished 2 thousand years ago. Obedience to God will never be abolished. I've offered sufficient verses.

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

I offer you sripture... You offer personal questions. Is it so difficult to reply to my scripture? AFTER salvation...are we required to obey God? A simple yes or no will do.

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

It's a simple yes or no. I say YES. What say you? The reply does not require a statement of several sentences. You either believe we are to obey God... or you do not believe we are to obey God. John, in John 3:36 states that if we bellieve in Jesus we will be saved.... but if we do not obey...

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

We'll let God be the judge of that. But that is known as deflection....
  6. GodsGrace

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Here's what salvation hinges on: 1. Belief on God. 2. Obedience to God. We need both. Now to your verses: Romans 3:20 19 Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God...

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

I've given you the answer many times. We are not saved by works... but we are saved by obeying God. We are saved by God's grace through our faith: Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so...

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Why is it impossible to reply a yes or no to this question? We are required to obey God at all times after salvation. Simple. No confusion about the Law. NO ONE is saved by following commands. NO ONE is saved by works. BUT AFTER salvation we are required to follow the commands of God. This...

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Not what I asked. Here's the question AGAIN: AFTER salvation, are we required to obey God?

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Yes sir. And I never will receive a reply from those that post as you do because the reply would be too uncomfortable. Here's the question AGAIN: AFTER salvation, are we required to obey God? Simple question. Simple answer.

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

@saved by grace 101 YOU posted to ME. And I REPLIED. YOU did not. Perhaps you'd like to try again? Here is post no. 431 to which you DID NOT reply: Did he stop doing what he was doing? Then he was doing the will of the Father. He did not have the POWER to stop before calling out to...

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

YOU know how I feel when I sin? Most interesting indeed.

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Maybe you just don't like the replies?
  14. GodsGrace

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Because you state something THREE TIMES does not make it right. Maybe you should try to absorb what others are telling you. And I've NEVER received a reply to this question yet.... You also have not replied. Again: AFTER salvation, are we required to obey God?

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Once again you pass judgment. How do YOU know how anyone feels when they trangress the law? Why not stick to doctrine and theology and stop telling persons on these threads what they do or how they feel about it?
  16. GodsGrace

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Did he stop doing what he was doing? Then he was doing the will of the Father. He did not have the POWER to stop before calling out to God. Do you know any businessman that claims to be Christian and claims to have called out to God and persists in whatever sin he may be addicted to? Or do...

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

I'm not sure. It could be that some think they just have to PROCLAIM the name of Jesus and they'll be saved. Maybe that proclamation is not sincere. Maybe they think God cannot see their heart. James said to be a doer and not only a hearer. Jesus said to act on His words. Jesus said to do the...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Did the Woman in Proverbs 8 become flesh? If she had.....would she have been divine/deity? Interesting that you can explain a verse in the OT which is NOT under discussion... but you're unable to explain John 1:1 and 1:14. THE WORD in John 1:1 is indeed something within God just like wisdom...

Maybe I Am Not Understanding the Post Tribulation Rapture. - Can You Help?

TL I did state that Revelation should not be used for doctrinal purposes. Some do practice this. You've quoted Revelation above ..... Here it is: Could you just take the time to explain EXACTLY where in those verses you see two raptures...... Thanks. Revelation 14 14 And I looked, and...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

I asked you first! Why not just reply? What or who is THE WORD in John 1:1 and John 1:14 Then I'll be happy to reply.
