Benefits? Peace of mind and heart since I came to know the Lord in 1972. Also in my senior years, it's a great comfort to know I'll be with Him when I pass from this earthly life. My 94 year old mom passed on last year...a great comfort knowing she's with the Lord.

No. We are saved through Jesus. But because we are saved, there will be a change in behavior. @Behold has explained the difference between salvation and discipleship. I don't desire a sinful lifestyle. I think once you are born again, there will be changes in one's life for the better.
