It wasn't a preacher or teacher who showed me this truth....it was the Holy Spirit....but I was seeker! I searched scriptures continuously looking for Truth....His Truth not religions.

In the OT the Book of Hosea God commands him to marry an adulteress.....why would God do that? His marriage to Gomer (the adulteress) symbolized the kind of marriage Israel had with God. Israel was an adulterous nation....and on top of that Hosea had to buy her from her lover....again...

Unless you can see into the future you can only present your interpretation of the tribulation....the 3 different interpretations of the "rapture" can supply scripture just as you did....even the same ones. So pre-trib, mid-trib or post-trib have never been able to disprove one another's...

That's my opinion of the use of that phrase....

Basically a godless religion or a belief outside of Christianity...just like the pagan holidays that have taken the place of Christian holidays. In a nutshell it's a man made theology or philosophy

It's a sacred symbol and it has everything to do with Jesus. People use it as another way of saying I don't need your help it's my burden to bare or my cross to carry.

No...I am saying the world has made it a slang to indicate they got what they deserve or something. They're not even quoting scripture they are just saying well that's my cross the bear.
