The problem with that though is the chip isn't even mentioned as "the mark." Maybe the mark is actually a mark? I am just saying whether if society is cashless or not, a mark will be required to buy and sell anyway. The beast comes first though....

I wonder how many measures of protection was put into place during the Spanish Flu pandemic. Considering that the world has a bigger population now and is more densely populated in many areas compared to 1919, if there were no measures of protection or restrictions, it could have been a lot worse.

In a way I actually like people paying by card, I think the debit card was actually quite a good invention, as it's easier for me to keep track of my accounts.

What does have a cashless society have anything to do with the beast? I don't believe that it has anything to do with the beast. When the beast rises in the tribulation, those without the mark of the beast won't be able to buy or sell, and that happens whether if the world is cashless or not.
