Is it possible to lose salvation?

All I did was to post scripture CS. Can you not even support, biblically, what you believe to be true? It's rather sad that you believe scripture to be demonic. I believe this is blashphemy --- attributing to God the works of Satan. and what could be more God-like than the NT? It's so not...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

Jesus is the name of a Person who was born 2 thousand years ago. WHO this Person is was understood by the Apostles,,,and this knowledge was passed on to others that came after them.... and eventually - due to heresies growing in the church - was DECLARED at the Council of Nicea in 325AD. It's...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Where in the NT does it state that the gospel is foolishness? THIS is what the NT states: Romans 1:15-16 15 So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

As I stated in my previous post... NO Christian I know believes we are saved by works. What I asked is this: WHAT is the GOOD NEWS in the gospel IF God chooses whom He will? HOW do I pronounce to ANYONE that they can be saved by the death of Jesus if they so choose? Seems to me that the good...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

Could you post the scripture that states the above?

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

Great point ! What could be plainer than when John states that THE WORD WAS WITH GOD AND THE WORD WAS GOD. John 1:1 I really don't know why ANY other scripture is needed when it is finished off with John 1:14 AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH. And some want to state that the Trinity was "invented"...

How did the Trinity doctrine develop in the early church?

I don't know the sources you've posted. I do see that when we prune a tree it makes more fruit. And if a branch is dead,,,it gets removed from the tree. You could reply, but I'm shutting down till tomorrow...

How did the Trinity doctrine develop in the early church?

Take away means to remove from the vine. The branches that do not bear fruit, get taken away. Prune means to cut in such a way as to allow the branch to make more fruit... it does NOT get taken away but remains on the vine. It's Jesus using a vine and branches to speak of Himself and us.

How did the Trinity doctrine develop in the early church?

OK Some on these threads think they can know Koine Greek just by using the lexicons.

How did the Trinity doctrine develop in the early church?

OK What I'm saying is that we really have to depend on the translators... they have more info than we do.

How did the Trinity doctrine develop in the early church?

Let's try again: John 15:2 A 2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; one type of branch IT gets taken away. B and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit; another type of branch IT gets pruned. Branch A does not bear fruit -it gets...

How did the Trinity doctrine develop in the early church?

Right. Two DIFFERENT branches... Two different situations.... They cannot both mean TO PRUNE.

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

What difference does it make? No difference to the meaning.

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

?? GOD is a type of being. YAHWEH is His name. EL SHADDAI is a title.

How did the Trinity doctrine develop in the early church?

Strong's, Thayer's, same. Please see my post 1653...it cannot mean pruning.

How did the Trinity doctrine develop in the early church?

Thanks for the reply. "Taking them away in a continuous sense" not sure what this means. As to pruning...it cannot mean pruning because Jesus speaks about pruning in the very next sentence and the outcome is different: John 15:2 2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away...

How did the Trinity doctrine develop in the early church?

Two comments: 1. Koine Greek is one of the easiest languages to learn. Classical Greek is more complex. How do I know? From someone that speaks Koine Greek and teaches it. 2. You did not reply to my question which was meant to show how using Strong's for Greek is of no help. Here it is...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

Happy to hear that you do not worship a man. Guess all we Christians will be going to hell for worshipping a mere man instead of the one true God. However, you should remove the word Christian from under your avatar. In order to be defined as Christian a person MUST believe that Jesus is God.

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

No J's in the scripture? Maybe YOU know Hebrew,,, but I do NOT. So I always use English when speaking about the bibel. I listed some titles... they're a title...in any language.
